  1. Every one of the revolutionary changes has been carefully calculated to walk the fine line between serious sim and nostalgic trip back to childhood...we have to give Monopoly Tycoon a full recommendation.
  2. It might just be one of the best strategy games of 2001…one of the most refreshing, engaging games released in a long time. [Jan 2002, p.98]
  3. The game is immensely fun, and incredibly innovative. It takes what is great about Monopoly and transfers it perfectly into the builder genre.

This game is great! There's a relatively steep learning curve as you get used to everything, but as soon as you hit the top of the learning curve, everything becomes easier, except for the actual game itself. the game is challenging, and there have been times where the situation turned downright frustrating, but man is this game great! damn the people who rated it low for not being able to play past level four! learn to play the game or don't play it at all! this game really makes you think in a business focused fashion. it would be great as a supplement to a high school economics/business class. It's a great game, but you have to play it their way. You have to work your way up levels. So if you want to play a regular game, you have to beat all the levels first, so far no one has got past level 4. I played several tries, and can't get past 4. (20,000 empire value). Almost ready to give up game. Expand
