This game would be mediocre, but an awesome music track, multi-layer competitive gameplay, and reasonable-good graphics raise this collection of 1s and 0s above the standard Tycoon game. Well done, Infogrames.

This game is basically standard fare for a "tycoon-style" strategy game, with opponents and a reasonable round track raising it slightly above the rest.

This game is great! There's a relatively steep learning curve as you get used to everything, but as soon as you hit the top of the learning curve, everything becomes easier, except for the actual game itself. the game is challenging, and there have been times where the situation turned downright frustrating, but man is this game great! damn the people who rated it low for not being able to play past level four! learn to play the game or don't play it at all! this game really makes you think in a business focused fashion. it would be great as a supplement to a high school economics/business class. It's a great game, but you have to play it their way. You have to work your way up levels. So if you want to play a regular game, you have to beat all the levels first, so far no one has got past level 4. I played several tries, and can't get past 4. (20,000 empire value). Almost ready to give up game.

  1. Every one of the revolutionary changes has been carefully calculated to walk the fine line between serious sim and nostalgic trip back to childhood...we have to give Monopoly Tycoon a full recommendation.
  2. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting – and this is a toothsome treat.

Deep Red took their time and reinvented both the "Sim City" model, the Monopoly board game, and created something that's bold, new, and still reminiscent of both sources.
