Even two years after its original release, Mortal Kombat remains one of the best fighting games ever made.

While it was nice to dig back in for a while, I have moved on to other titles now, so anyone looking for a double dip will likely not get as much mileage out of this version. For the few that have yet to play it though, you are in for a treat. The PC version is by far the best looking iteration of the game, and the amount of content packed in here will keep players occupied for months. That is of course if the online manages to get a foothold.

The Komplete Edition shines on PC other than Story mode cutscene quality and, more importantly, some annoying online lag issues. Neither is a deal-breaker for me though, and at $30, I have no problem recommending it for purchase.

The online experience could be better, especially with such a small community, but the game is solid enough in other areas that it is easily one of the better fighting games for the platform and worth checking out.

For $29.99, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is great value for the high-calibre fighting game that Netherrealm Studios (and High Voltage Software) has put together. Highly rekommended!

Over two years after it hit the home consoles, Mortal Kombat is finally making its way to the PC. This port may be called the "Komplete Edition," but it lacks much of the content found in last year's PS Vita release. Even in its inkomplete state, Mortal Kombat remains one of the best fighting games of this generation!

With all that content, an in-depth Story mode, and a wide range of modes to play through, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is one of the most complete fighting games around.

High Voltage Software produced a solid PC port, with a 60 fps frame rate, better visuals and excellent keyboard support. I wish they did not unlock all the characters, outfits and fatalities right off the bat, though.

The PC’s Komplete Edition is the best way to experience this game, technically. A modest gaming machine can run it with a nice smooth framerate and settings set high. The game has never looked more detailed and crisp, and timing your movements feels a little easier with the improved performance.

Patience is the best remedy, and Scorpion still enjoys getting people out of their skins. In other words, everything is the same, and even for PCs, Mortal Kombat is still the kick-ass fighting game. [Issue#233]

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, available on Steam, offers (almost) everything you want from a product of this kind.

Same good mortal kombat seen on console with all DLC included.

You could say, that the PC version of 2011 Mortal Kombat wins the battle, but it's not a flawless victory. Nevertheless, you should check it out - your keyboard will suffer from a brutal fatality, but the amount of fun is satisfying. It's a great beat'em up for solo players - the game has lots of modes and challenges, but it's also great for parties - up to 4 players can play on one machine. The developers need to control some online issues and minor bugs, and the experience will truly be "komplete".

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is a decent port of a frantic, compelling beat'em-up, packed with plenty of game modes.

You can write books about Mortal Kombat, but you can also sum up Komplete Edition with one sentence: it’s the best fighting game available on PC. [CD-Action 09/2013, p.65]

Beside the “gore-galore” there's a solid beat'em up, charming and fun. If you're a Mortal Kombat addicted you'll get tons of fun, but beware: searching for online players can be painful and the net-code is ugly. Stick to the traditional head to head and everything will be fine.

The PC porting of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition has great graphics and offers the same good feelings of the 2 years old console versions, but a couple of technical issues and a bad net code ruin the final experience.

A solid fighting game mired in its own questionable presentation. Superseded since its console launch.

So the game runs like a dream, mostly: 60 fps cap, plenty of options for video settings (Anti Aliasing, 1080p, textures, etc)... The only problem is the in-game cutscenes. They look like they were ripped off of a 240p youtube video, sound included. Not sure why it looks so terrible but it gives me a headache

The matchmaking system is annoying as well, but considering it's the same as the console version that's not much to complain about. Overall I'm extremely happy to see the game ported, albeit a few years late.
