If you like Vikings TV Series and Mount&Blade, The New DLC, Viking Conquest is calling you. Viking Conquest offers satisfying experience with rich content and new game mods.
Viking Conquest’s multiplayer mode pales in comparison to the expansive, highly detailed, albeit somewhat flawed single-player campaign. It’s not downright bad, it just doesn’t offer anything new, and there are too few servers online. So, if you’re going to the unforgiving Nordic lands, do it for the story.
I'm not writing about the first version of "Mount & Blade: Warband - Viking Conquest", which, without doubt, was raw. What I'll be writing about is the complete version - "Reforged Edition".
It's not just an another mod of M&B, it's something bigger. This game once more shows that it has no limits, by developing VC. I found no cons in it. It's beautiful.
Even if you've already spent hundreds and thousands of hours, playing any other mod or an original version of the game, you will have already a new experience here. If you thought that this game couldn't become better, it became!
Also if you're a fan of Vikings and their age, it will be an another bonus especially for you. But even if're not, the game will still have lots of new in it. One another good thing about this is that it never stops becoming better and better.
I find the game very original and the creators put a lot of effort in fixing the first bugs. For the low price it is an excellent game. I find the story very good, though one would wish that the aging engine would offer more options.
By making full use of the aging game engine, the Mount & Blade experience is further enhanced and made more enjoyable. Unfortunately, a large host of bugs and stability issues spoil the show, while likely fixable, cannot be ignored.
Basically, a story that M&B extremely needed. Also, improved graphics and many other game mechanics. You should definitely play this if u haven't as a M&B fan. On other side, story is stupid but hey, this is a story
A Very good DLC. Mount and blade is already great, and Mount & Blade: Warband - Viking Conquest made it a lot better. Nice plot, graphics, simulation, combat, and computer A.I. Full of bugs and glitches though, so you have to save your progress all the time.
While the gameplay and story are great when considered as DLC, the reason I'm giving this a low score is very different. Viking Conquest, which was developed for Mount & Blade, a series developed by a Turkish game company, has never been brought a proper Turkish language support. Turkish translation in the DLC, which was added long after its release, was incredibly mediocre and spoiled the game. This is also not acceptable. For a company based in Turkey, whose biggest supporters are Turks, to not support Turkish in something project they allowed to be developed for their own games is probably not a disgrace that can be seen in a different foreign game company. But when it comes to Taleworlds, you're not surprised these days. They are such a mediocre, money grubbing company that they wouldn't even bring Turkish language support to Bannerlord if they could.
I want to like this game but its just to bugy and i am already sick of games realeased unfinished. Campaign seems good and theme is also good but so many bugs that develeopers must have seen !
Ships geting stuck, Create new game menu bugged, Insane Fps drops while waiting / camping / training , Fps drops when landing points are found, missions that do nothing (Visist lady quest just repeat the same thing over and over), low variety of weapons (day 45 and i still havent found better weapons than ones from day 10 or so), completely dumb lord behavior on maps (why defend castle besieged by 185 when you got 300 men and you are couple of meters from that castle) and definitely more
I really want to love this game like i loved previous M&B but i just cannot forgive developers such obvious bugs.
P.S playing on 1. 0. 2
SummaryThe DLC features a story mode with a complex plot, where choices have real consequences, as well as a standard sandbox mode in an all new setting, with expanded options and controls. Online battling also takes on its own flavour, with special modes like Coastal Assault and Warlord.
