I agree with some of the comments before, however the AI and controls are much improved over last year and the only thing that really got on my nerves other than the annoying invasive music, is the GUI interface. I don't understand why they don't just include a Windows based player/league/team editor. Consider it IS running on a PC, the possibilities would be endless. I'm not really sure where to start. I will agree with just about everything posted here, the commentators have the same comments because it seems they were to lazy to update them. Also rosters are pretty much all out of date even witht he official EA patch released whent he game was. Defence is non existant and the computer scores at will....especially at the end of the game(much I'm not really sure where to start. Defence is non existant and the computer scores at will....especially at the end of the game(much like 06). The part that bothers me the most is the negligence and obvious disregard for updating the 06 version. This game may be somewhat acceptable if they just tweaked 06 but instead they left alot of things like audio commentary right down the players golie pads the same (Eg Aubin in toronto still has gold and black pads he had when from when he was in pittsburg years ago). This game is an absolute disgrace and I dont think any patches or hotfixes can change that. Expand

Can't see how anybody would see this as an improvement. EA you're just not trying anymore.

Overall a pretty solid game. I would like to see some changes made though. It would be nice to have some more game play sliders, such as the ability to tweak the goalies more. The AI on defense is lacking in some aspects too, many times I have seen players chase to a spot the puck used to be, leaving a clear path in the slot for the opposition...it's a load of fun to play Overall a pretty solid game. Well, it is maybe the worst NHL ever. Only reason to buy this is that you see your own eyes how worst it is.

PC version sucks. Shots go in from anywhere, nothing new and the skill stick is for passing only!? All cinematics are the same as 06 and the commentators haven't changed either same old repetative annoying comments.

Again, in game NHL it can't bind movements on WASD. And actions can bind on numerical keyboard but in game they don't work. In every game, left hand control the movements and right hand control the actions. Developers did all inside out and it don't change. Don't they know that's not comfortable? Has normal controls done so hard? And NHL 07 is NHL 06 + minor changes

I think the EA Sports staff responsible for NHL 07 must vacation about 300 days a year and get together occasionally to see how they put the next farce of a version out with doing as little work as possible. I've given up on these hopeless bunch of jerks. Their games are absolute BS!

There is no reason to buy this game if you own NHL06. I think the graphics actually look fuzzier than last years release and the on ice sound (always a high point of this franchise) has definitely taken a leap backwards. It does work with Vista though. 06 worked once then never started again. If you can live without the roster updates, wait until next year. Expand

How's is it after a full year there is nothing improved? Once again they've proved either they can't be bothered to put a little time in money into one of their oldest series, or that they are completely and utterly incompetent. Identicle to 06 with the exception that the circle around the player is now a star, and they changed some of the background colour. Completely How's is it after a full year there is nothing improved? EA is being ridiculous with the pc gamers. While 40% of nhl gamers use computers, they offer year after year weak ports full of glitches that shows a lack of either efforts or intelligence; only nhl 06 and nhl 07 led my pc to the Blue screen of death since Windows XP. What reaches the summit of inherent stupidity, is the fact that EA produced this year 2 differents NHLs: one for the Next Gen, and one for the Current Gen, and of course since PCs have been invented in the 70s, they fall in this second category, of all the gaming capable hardware, only the 360 is next gen, there is no version coming out for the ps3 or Wii. EA are also being very hypocrite on how they publicize the game. On the internet and probably also on TV, they keep showing images and trailers of the 360 edition, stating that it is available for PS2 Xbox360 Xbox and PC thus making absolutely no distinction between the two versions, I tend to think this is almost suitable for legal actions. Ok people keep whinging about this being so much like 06 that they forget that 06 was a great game in the first place. This game seems to add more than people give it credit for. P.S. Oh and if you're finding shots going in from anywhere try turning the difficulty up rather than complaining. Expand

Its so uncompetitive. Expand

The controls are tight, especially shooting, if you have a USB control pad. Ditch the keyboard. We would like to see the checking system tweaked a bit so players aren't so magnetic. Great puck physics make for exciting, organic goal scoring.
  2. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the versions of NHL 07 not made for the next generation of consoles offer little in the way of new content.
  3. While we aren’t impressed with the changes (or lack thereof), with the price reduced to $29.99, current-gen gamers are still getting a great game, and for half the price of the 360 version.
