  1. Ninja Blade has no right to be as entertaining as it is. It's nowhere near as accomplished as the genre's heavyweights, but anyone able to see it as the roller-coaster ride it is should have a great time.
  2. Even if the Xbox 360 version of the game is quite old, the game will entertain you for some hours. The graphics are okay and the story surprises from time to time. There is one thing you should know: The best way to control the game is to use a gamepad.
  3. Forget logic or the laws of physics, you won’t need them in this game. It’s an absurd action feast where you play a super ninja called Ken Ogawa. The only problem with this game are frequent crashes which are annoying because you the game is only saved after completing a mission
  4. Some technical troubles notwithstanding, this derivative action game is a bunch of silly, stylish fun.
  5. Good action game with a lot of cinematic-gameplay through Quick Time Event system. Poor variety and not so stylish graphics doesn't allow the title to reach other action games. Ninja Balde is just for truly cinematic action fun.
  6. Frequent boss fights, excellent cinematics and great animation keep you glued to the screen for the first thirty minutes. Alas, oversized bugs which use the same attacks over and over, tiresome QTE sequences, useless combos and weapon upgrades will get under your skin.

The technical flaws and the sensation that it’s a pc-port clearly define the feel of the game. And it’s not a good feeling. It feels like this game is worth its place in the budget line of the X360, but not as a pc-game, at least not like this. Luckily, you won’t be charged full price for this game, giving it a better price-quality balance. In some areas, the game tries to compete with the best of the genre, and that makes you see the imperfections even more. The best part is found in the game’s extravagance and its specific style, but not everyone will love it.
  8. Don’t look for any inventiveness here just enjoy the fastest Tokyo ride on the wings of this exaggerated adrenaline action game where gravity and other laws of physics take a vacation. [Issue#187]
  9. If you like deeper, thoughtful fighting then skulk on by, like a shadow in the night.
  10. This is a weak port. [Feb 2010, p.85]
  11. Refuse to accept a game with such little creative effort put into it and vote with your wallets. [Feb 2010, p.79]

Great game for PC gamers looking for some Ninja Gaiden style action. The port does not take full advantage of high end PC specs, but at least it runs pretty well on my mid-tier laptop (i5, 6GB ram, HD 6750M). The game's story is like an impossible high budget b-movie. It's so over-the-top that it feels like a parody. There is a lot of QTE, a little too much for my taste, but the cut-scenes look great. The graphics are generally good, but not perfect as some textures and models feels detached from the rest. Despite the very different gameplay style, Ninja Blade has controls and level design reminiscent of Dark Souls, a much cooler game also developed by From Software. Full Review »

at first i had my doubts to this game. but after playing it through, this game turned out to be very entertaining. some great presentation, and lots of action. of course its more enjoyable with a 360 controller, so highly suggested to get one. it has QTE, which makes the game even more unpredictable and enjoyable. the story is about you, part of a ninja clan that comes out of hiding to save people from a terrible virus that gets released. it has great boss battles, great 'finish him' type of presentation for cool kills. lots of customizable skins for your character and you can upgrade skills and weapons. i just like this game especially for the huge constant boss battles and QTE. not many games have that for pc, so thats great.
