  • Summary: The year is 2288. The city is protected by an organization called "The Peacekeepers League" and everything is swell except for that it's under attack! By a robot army lead by professor Darnacus Damnation!! Or is it... ? 100 years after the events of Noitu Love 1 the new star of the Peacekeepers is Xoda Rap, and what she has to endure is a sudden resurrection of the Darn armies, but adding to that the city is locally turning to places of the past! What could be causing this? Using a mouse reticule as a quick-dash-to-enemies and mouse gestures for special moves, Xoda will take on anything that stands in her way in the name of peace! The game shares little in pacing and action to Noitu Love 1. It is more of a continuation on that universe, so expect much more mindless action. [Konjak] Expand

  1. A study in motion, pastiche, and mayhem.
  2. With Noitu Love 2 - Devolution, Konjak has absolutely hit the 2D nail on the head: it plays like a long-lost gem from the Treasure catalog, while still managing to flesh out its own quirky identity. Action fans don't want to pass this one up.

It's a fun little distraction for the price, and the game actually makes for a surprisingly satisfying "beat up some robots" experience with how it combines its control scheme on the mouse and keyboard. It's definitely a fun action game to look into.
  4. There's a lot of replay value and unlockables to go with a lot of shooting; it's a welcome blast from the 16bit days. [July 2008, p.98]

awesome!!!! I played for a few moments and I looked over and saw that it had been 5 hours. did this game come out in 2008? I just got it on Steam, it recently came to that platform - do yourself a favor and grab it!!!
the combat system is unique I like that way you have a cross hair - but not to shoot. that is where the character will jump to and unleash a sword attack. there's like tons on of bosses, all fun and creative. really reminds me of the best of the best of the SNES datys

Side-scrolling 2D beat'em up with a style similar to Metal Slug. Although there are unlockable characters and multiple difficulties, the game is only 7 levels long and fairly easy. Unique bosses, catchy "8-bit" music and sfx, and detailed pixel art make this game worth playing if you get it in a bundle... but not worth the $5 alone. Expand

"Noitu Love 2: Devolution" is a Metal Slug-like side-scrolling 2D beat'em up. A very boring and uninteresting one. Yes, it's cheap, but it's not worth your time. Don't play it, do something else instead. Anything. Expand
