If you’re looking for something to scare the pants off of you, look very far in the other direction. Because Overcast isn’t a bad horror game. It’s just not a very good game at all.

Very good game. I enjoyed playing this game a lot. I strongly recommend this.

This survival horror FPS provides some really scary moments and the final boss fight was well-designed, nerve–racking. However, overall the cheesy unimaginative riddles (e.g. keys very easy to find, or pull the lever in the 1 corridor to open the door or cross the whole empty prairie to automatically get the antidote), the annoying occasional blurring and the slow wooden gameplay (a single shot is followed by a long loading time) result in a title I won't give a thumb up.

Für 14 Cent, ist das Spiel ziemlich gut, 2 Stunden für einen Durchlauf, wenn man sich alles genau anguckt, 1-3 schwere Stellen, macht aber trotzdem Spaß. Man erschreckt sich allerdings nur in den ersten 1-2-3 Level´n, dann weiß man genau, wann man erschreckt wird oder wann das Spiel es zumindest versucht ;-)

As bad as Walden and the Werewolf is with it's terrible audio screeches and drug induced terrible production values, it feels far better than a lot of other dirt cheap horror games out there.

Overcast - Walden and the Werewolf has barely improved since the alpha-release. And while the developers tried to make the alpha-content somewhat scary they mostly gave up in the second half of the game and just throw one bast first-person shooter segment after another at the players.
But it doesn't last very long as every part consists of extremely small maps that are held together by a bare bones storyline.
Therefore Overcast fails as a horror game and as a first-person shooter.
And the developers don't care and simply ignore or even delete negative feedback.

Summary The game tells the story of Walden, an old hunter who lives alone in the woods. Recently, Walden began to be haunted by a mysterious creature that destroyed the village located near his cabin, killing every person residing on the premises. Now, Walden wants revenge.
