  • Summary: In a mad search for power, evil genius Erwin creates a machine that can penetrate into the world of the Ghosts...the Spectral Realm! But now the Spectral Realm is collapsing into the real world, and this will bring about a massive catastrophe that will plunge the world into a state of devistation for years to come. After mysteriously having been transported out of Pac-Village and into this strange and different land, it is up to Pac-Man to uncover Erwin’s plot and save the world. Along the way, Pac-Man will meet a host of unexpected "old friends," and in order to defeat the ultimate enemy, he might just have to turn his old foes into allies! While combining contemporary platform game mechanics with traditional Pac-Man play principles, Pac-Man World 3 features Pac-Man staples including Power Pellets, Pac-Dots, Pac-Chains and fruit while adding new elements such as a Pactrometer, power-up smoothies and several new special moves. Players will even get to play as Pinky and Clyde, who each have distinctive special abilities. [Namco] Expand

  1. A fantastic action-platformer that, despite a few technical hitches and minor camera problems, delivers well over 10 hours of 3D Pac-Man goodness.
  2. A fantastic action-platformer that, despite a few technical hitches and minor camera problems, delivers well over ten hours of 3D Pac-Man goodness.
  3. Fun for kids and adults alike(the original Pac Man is even included in emulated form)--just be sure to bring a quality game-pad to the party. [July 2006, p.99]
  4. It's a good title for kids. It controls well, the levels are interesting, and the references to Pac Man 25 years ago are respectful.
  5. Nothing can save Pac-Man World 3 from feeling simply average, and that extends to the game’s presentation as well. This is not helped by some crippling technical issues, which are highlighted by an unmanageable and nearly-broken camera.
  6. Lack of replay value relegates this game to a rental.

Brilliant! Graphics and gameplay are very enjoyable. Perfect for those who are simply tired of blowing off heads in violent wargames.

This game is almost good. The pleasant music and sound effects an collectibles make it seem like this game would be joy to play. But its not. I had fun with the first few levels, then it just when down hill.
First lets start with the mechanics of the game. The Rev Roll. Aside from almost thinking i was playing Sonic the hedgehog the Rev Roll mechanic is a messy unresponsive thing to even attempt in this game. You can never land on platforms that you need to use that to get to and its very, very hard to control.
And now the biggest and probably only serious issue with this game. The level design. Oh my god.
Pacman World 2s level design is atrocios! Rev roll leaps of faith, unexplained scenarios, so many jumps that you can just barely make regardless of how close you jump from the edge, Pacman will jank around and just about grab on to the edge giving you a mini heart attack in the process.
Simply put, the levels are not designed well to have fun with and with an IP as big as Pacman, this a big deal. This game isnt good, but you can play the original arcade pacman in it. So thats good.
