  1. Perimeter: Emperor’s Testament will take a little time to get used to, from the controls, terraforming landscapes, and creating a strong offence or defense. Once you do get the hang of all that this game has to offer you will find it highly enjoyable.
  2. Pelit (Finland)
Combines a far-out sci-fi plot with some new RTS elements. The result is a nice game, but nothing more. [Dec 2006, p.82]
  3. It doesn't feature the same level of changes of most expansion packs, but the strategic elements are sound and the campaign is long enough to justify the paltry $20US price tag.
  4. It’s more of the same thing. If you just can’t get enough of Perimeter, then here’s some more of it to feed your hunger. If you’re looking for an update to the gameplay, units, or features, you should wait to see if a Perimeter 2 is released sometime down the road.
  5. PC Zone UK
The admirably innovative gameplay still feels like it's from Mars. [Feb 2007, p.80]
  6. An expansion pack that offers nothing new or innovative to the quirky and innovative original. A decent pick for those who just couldn’t get enough of Perimeter, but those unfamiliar with the original might be in for more than they can handle.
  7. The bottom line is Perimeter: Emperor's Testament is a flawed diamond.
