Ready or Not lets us play as the captain of a SWAT team and does so with bewitching skill, captivating you with challenging gameplay and intriguing gunplay. Between single player and online co-op, customization and progression, agent management and nuances galore, you soon find yourself hostage to a brutal FPS that just won't let you go. And that's fine, even if not everything is (yet?) perfect.
Ready or Not is a realistic and tactical first-person shooter that challenges us to face dangerous situations as a SWAT team, with a good variety of levels, weapons, and gadgets, but also with some flaws in the enemy AI, the single-player Commander mode, and the technical performance.

Ready or Not is a game that doesn't hold back. You might have heard controversies about people complaining about how dark the game gets during some missions. Those controversies are stupid. The game is meant to be a REALISTIC swat simulator. The dark things you see are what SWAT officers might see on their missions. The game doesn't try to hide it's content. If you don't want to see the stuff in the game, don't play the game. If you play the game, you will see dark and horrible things. Things that real SWAT officers might see. This is what realism is

Ready or Not might feel at odds with itself a little from time to time, but it’s still a solid if unspectacular squad shooter.
Ready or Not is incredibly exciting, especially in co-op. The gunplay is excellent, the missions are exhilarating and if you don't pay attention to the smallest details, you might get into trouble. Tactics and teamwork are crucial, as is your choice of equipment. If you are looking for your new co-op obsession, Ready or Not is a very good choice. Solo players wait for the Commander mode becoming more fleshed-out.
Ready or Not has made a name for itself with VOID Interactive's ambitious goal to depict with absolute realism and without compromise the combat scenarios that a SWAT team faces on a daily basis. However, the truth is that behind the scandal lies an excellent first-person tactical shooter that, after two years of early access, is ready to inherit the legacy of SWAT.
Ready or Not features levels where you break apart a child exploitation ring, assault a streamer’s house whilst they’re livestreaming, get called to an active shooter situation on a college campus, and pick through the aftermath of a shooting at a gay nightclub. There’s trying hard and then there’s this.
Ready or Not successfully imports the moment-to-moment gameplay and intensity of the classic SWAT franchise, but without much innovation and a host of major AI issues this tactical shooter was seemingly not quite ready to breach out of Early Access.
been playing this game when it went early access and now the 1.0 update came out and its 1000 times better, the AI is super good, the graphics are crazy and so much stuff that makes this game good even my old crappy pc could play it with a GTX 960 yes it was really laggy and had some annoying moments but thats because of my graphics card plus I still got 50+ hours with it. The game is amazing and if you like tactical first-person shooters with your friends I recommend it its also a really good game for funny moments.

Ready or Not?(2023)СЮЖЕТ: Сюжета в игре как такогого нет. У нас есть миссии, которые связаны лором и последовательностью их выдачи. В целом все. Говоря про лор, хочется сказать, что теперь у нас есть подробные брифинги перед миссиями и горы дополнительной информации, которые заметно расширяют лор. ГЕЙМЛЕЙ И МИССИИ: Геймплей очень необычный по современным меркам, такого сейчас уже не делают. Игра им явно цепляет. Но при этом это не отменяет того факт, что особенности и условности здешнего геймплея регулярно вызывают возгорания жопы от своей тупости и нелогичности. Что касается ботов - да, их улучшили. Как терров, так и кт. Играть стало в разы интереснее, да и сам геймплей стал более динамичным и затягивающим. Что касается новых стволов - их нет, а некоторые даже вырезали. А те, что остались, в основном друг от друга никак не отличаются. Понятно, что штурмовки сложнее контролить, но урона наносят они много. А ПП-шки легко контролить, но они не пробивают нихрена. Тут все нормально. Классы оружия действительно отличаются друг от друга. Не отличаются стволы внутри класса. Отличии условного калаша от p90 минимальна - одинаковая отдача, одинаковый урон и т.д. Тут на помощь должна выйти кастомизация.. Но не обманывайте себя! Это не Тарков. Здесь у нас есть возможность поставить от 2 до 4 модулей, которые для всех одинаковые(что максимально нереалистично) и половина которых бесполезна. Тут мне сказать в целом нечего. С релизом разрабы захотели сменить текущую мету P90(фонарь + глушак + калиматор) + Five-Seven(Лазер + глушак + калиматор) + щит. Поменяли ли? Ну... +- Теперь у щита у можно разбить стекло, что делает его использование проблематичным. Ботов подкрутили, теперь они активно тебя рашат и очень, сука, метко стреляют. Но тем не менее, мета в целом осталось той же, единственное что приходится выгружать парочку рожков с разгрузки, чтобы заполнить ее хаешками(вот это теперь реально нью мета). В остальном же геймплей не поменялся с бета теста. Единственное что действительно чувствуется, так это скорость. Персонаж стал быстрее передвигаться, анимации стали быстрее и... агрессивнее что-ли, а терры стали умнее и быстрее реагировать на угрозу. Поэтому ситуаций, когда ты с черепашьей скоростью ползешь по карте в поисках врага, стало в разы меньше. В целом это все по геймлею. МУЗЫКА, ГРАФИКА и ОтМасФЭрА: ЭТО ОДНА ИЗ САМЫХ АТМОСФЕРНЫХ ИГР В КОТОРЫЕ Я ИГРАЛ. Визуал, музыка, звуки, освещение - разрабы очень постарались. Ночные миссии - это просто разьеб! (Особенно неоновые). Да, в игре есть и дневные миссии(их достаточно много), но они не разьебные, просто норм. Играя ночную миссию ночью, в одного и с выключенным светом становится действительно жутковато. Засчет грамотного лвл дизайна и умных ботов, которые вечно ныкаются и очень метко стреляют, твое очко всегда поджато.Не редки случаи, когда игра меня пугала! А ведь это даже не хоррор! ..но у всего есть недостатки, так и RoN? за отличную картинку и звук поплатился.. ей..ОПТИМИЗАЦИЯ И ТЕХНИЧЕСКАЯ ЧАСТЬ: Все очень плохо. Все. Мне больше нечего сказать. Тут все даже хуже чем в Таркове, хотя куда ещё.. Игра ужасно оптимизирована. Помимо того, что FPS в ней в среднем на процентов так 20 ниже чем в большинстве игр, так он ещё и сука проседает постоянно. Вяжешь труп - 10 FPS. Стреляешь по врагу - 10 FPS. МИССИЮ СУКА ВЫБИРАЕШЬ - 10 ЕБУЧИХ FPS. На это жалуются! Это раздражает! И это нужно фиксить! Ещё в бете у игры были проблемы с оптимизацией, но с релизом стало только хуже. Помимо уменьшение FPS в принципе, теперь игра ещё и подгружает некоторые текстуры прямо перед твои ебалом. Это просто ужас! Это киберпанк на релизе! Это очень плохо! Это стыд + позор. ИТОГ: Я люблю RoN?. Я ждал релиза и первые часы с него провел в экстазе. Но вот улучшения потихоньку заканчиваются, и ты начинаешь замечать, что в основе это тот же самый RoN? что и был на бетке, только теперь это релиз, и прощать множество недоработок уже нельзя. С обновлением добавили много всего интересного - 5 новых операций, тучу контента и улучшений и т.д. Но игра всё ещё далека от релиза. Багов туча, оптимизации нет, стволы все однообразные и скучные, интерфейск понятного нет, русского и многих других языков нет. Несомненно, с обновлением игра стала намного лучше, но это все ещё не тянет на релиз... как то так..Ready or Not? - 7/10

TLDR: this game still feels like it’s in Early Access, and is in such an unfinished and unpolished state that I do not recommend anyone spend their hard earned cash on **** that 1.0 is officially released, and the game is “finished” I can safely say it is supremely undercooked. Let me explain. The most noticeable issue is performance. Performance has been bad since Alpha, it was bad in Early Access, and it’s still bad in 1.0. They’ve had more than enough time to work on this, and it was largely forgiven by the community because the game was in Early Access; well it’s not anymore and performance is still poor regardless of your **** game has been condensed down into 18 missions with only 2 game modes. The meat of RON is Commander Mode, and while I like the idea, the implementation is extremely threadbare. Commander Mode is pretty simple: clear each level while completing static objectives and try not to get yourself and your teammates killed. If you can manage to level up your AI officers, you can unlock their trait…though there’s absolutely no indication of how much XP each office has earned or how far away they are from unlocking said ability, so it just feels random as to when they unlock. Suffice it to say, these traits don’t add much to the experience. In fact, I’m confident in saying even after you unlock them you’ll be hard pressed to notice anything different, so they may as well not even be ****, what else does Commander Mode have going for it? Pretty much nothing. You do your missions in the order the devs planned out and that’s the game… Objectives don’t change from run to run, levels largely feel linear and static, there is no custom mission mode or quick play option, and even the randomness of enemy and civilian placement feel like they’ve been tamped down quite a bit from previous modes available during Early **** only other game mode is Practice Mode, which is just the same levels from Commander Mode without officer **** onto the bugs. This game launched with a plethora of bugs and buggy behavior. It is unfathomable to me that this gets a pass, as you can not go more than an hour without encountering serious bugs, many of which will outright ruin your run/score and force a mission **** game still has no gamma correction, so depending on your monitor it may appear unplayably dark. And there’s just nothing you can do about it. While this isn’t a bug, it may still be a deal breaker for some–this game is extremely dark, I can not overstate that enough.Finally a note on UI… It’s bad, it’s clunky, the HUD communicates almost no valuable information, it’s straight up MISSING assets and spelled wrong in places. It needs an entire redesign in my opinion. The UI and UX in this game is probably the worst I’ve ever experienced, and literally zero work went into improving it prior to **** conclusion, Void Interactive pushed this one out the door before it was ready. The year it was in Steam Early Access was spent reworking the entire campaign and cutting content instead of working on the core fundamentals of gameplay and performance.

Die geben mir Geld nicht wieder, obwohl mein Game immer in einer Mission crashed und überhaupt nicht gut läuft (ich habe eine 700 € Grafikkarte und eine 300 € CPU), der Support ist unfreundlich, sehr over hyped nicht zu empfehlen **** würde mein Geld lieber verbrennen und die Ladezeiten sind super schlecht; das Game ist schwerer als Dark Souls 2 hardmode mod und es ist sehr schnell, sehr langweilig. Ich würde mir lieber das Peppa Pig spiel kaufen, kostet circa das gleiche und 40€-50 € oder furry feet beide Spiele, die ich gerade genannt habe, sind deutlich besser und ich würde mehr empfehlen als diesen Kernschrott.

I had high hopes for Ready Or Not and I started following it since it launched in EA and finally got it in 2023. The game felt unoptimized, lacked polish in many regards, and had an insane aimbotting suspect AI that would shoot you through walls.
Despite this, it was still playable, and the AI was somewhat manageable with mods. In short, the game had potential, and as a huge fan of SWAT 4, I kept defending it and hoping for the best, even though the updates stopped altogether.
However, the 1.0 release was beyond disappointing. It completely broke my trust in VOID Interactive, as they didn't fix any of the issues the game had in EA. It somehow performs worse now, with random stutters that are nearly unavoidable (it runs worse in lower settings), and if the suspect AI felt unrealistic before, they're superhuman now.
