Real Myst Image
  • Summary: Now you can experience Myst the way the Miller Brothers originally envisioned it -- truly immersed in a world that lives and breathes around you, where the weather changes, the sun rises and sets, the trees sway in the wind, and animals scurry by. [Mattel Interactive]

The move to complete 3D freedom of movement and real-time environments adds a whole new dimension to the game, and finally makes it feel like it is a game rather than simply a series of static images and mental puzzles.
  2. An interesting take on the classic game and a must-have for fans of the original.
  3. This "directors' cut" version turns a bad game into a horrible one, thanks to an uncomfortable control system and bad framerates.

  1. I played Real Myst without any experiences of playing any other Myst games (including original Myst) before. I had a great fun with this game since I encountered all the puzzles in the game for the first time. The puzzles in the game are logical enough to be solved without any walkthroughs. After I finished this game, I tried to play the original Myst but I couldn't finish it because it is just a repetition of the same thing with less amazing graphics than Real Myst. If you would like to play only one Myst game, I think that Real Myst is the one. Expand

Your going to wish there were more games like this, an absolute classic of the highest order I smile just thinking about it.

The controls are horrible, but the graphics are nice. I'd reccommend downloading the demo to see the graphics, but I don't think the game is worth it. Expand
