realMyst’s Masterpiece Edition offers spectacular enhancements to an already iconic adventure game – even the Myst naysayers should be pleasantly surprised by the new visuals and interface revisions.

After all these years Myst is still a masterpiece, a brilliant game that deserves acclaim. [05/2014, p.73]

Attention: tThis review is for RealMyst Masterpiece Edition

I played realMyst a long time ago and now the MasterPiece Edition appeared. It's basically a 3D Myst with enhanced graphics. And boy they did a real good job. Especially after the patch, the game was really easy to handle, besides being beautiful.

The beef I have with this game is that it's actually too easy. Other Myst installments had more challenging puzzles. This includes Uru. However, I think RealMyst was easier to navigate and so it was easier to overlook where you are and where you were going. The result is that you won't miss things and therefore you can focus on gaming as opposed to endlessly searching.

I've solved everything in a matter of hours. So that's a bit disappointing. It's the one and only disappointment I have with this installment. Now, espcially RealMyst Masterpiece Edition, the game has once again established it's immortality. Behold my fellow Adventure gamer, they don't make them like this anymore.
