  1. My own addiction to the gameplay here is unceasing, as there is always some little tweak I want to add to make my custom park just a little bit better.
  2. This expansion provides loads of new rides, themes and fun.
  3. The best part about LL is that Corkscrew Follies is packed in as well; so if you haven't purchased the first expansion, you are getting both in this title...My only complaint is that you still cannot ride the creations you make. What a bummer!

It's a great bargain, and full with enough hours of gameplay to make this a no-brainer purchase for anyone who's crafted the perfect park in "Roller Coaster Tycoon."
  5. The only real problem with Loopy Landscapes is that it doesn't add two much-needed elements to RollerCoaster Tycoon: a free-for-all mode in which you're not constrained by scenario objectives, and a means of controlling the game speed.
  6. More scenarios, more themes, more shops, more fun.
  7. How can you not love a game where people clap for you when you successfully complete a scenario? Brilliant.
  8. More scenarios for fans of the breakout themepark sim. [Jan 2001, p.162]
  9. The colors are bright and attractive, and everything looks like it's supposed to, in a sunny, cartoonish way.
  10. That said, I think Hasbro needs to be very cautious about returning to this well too often (Hello, Tomb Raider). While I liked this one, I don't think I'd receive RCT XP3 as kindly.
  11. If you haven't already played "Corkscrew Follies," there are definitely enough attractive new features and interesting scenarios in Loopy Landscapes to provide hours of additional coaster building enjoyment to your theme park empire.
  12. It works hand in hand with previous titles in the series, drawing designers back with solid improvements and polished graphics.

Awesome game! Scenarios are great and the gameplay is so much fun! I've played so many hours of this game I've lost track a long time ago. Tons of rides and different landscapes to build them across. Definitely not as much freewill as RCT2 & 3 had but you have to understand that this one is what started all of this, and it's an incredibly solid amusement park simulator. The guests are pretty intelligent and it's fun to mess with them. This RCT can actually get a little repetitive at times, but it's so enjoyable to play it doesn't even matter if you do the same thing again, because it's just that good! Literally the only complaint I have about this game is the time required for the scenarios (missions) to be completed. I can easily reach all the requirements in like a year of game time, but then it makes you wait two more (for example) before you've completed the mission and unlocked the next one, so a lot of the game is just sitting there waiting for the timer to run out before you win. But there's always something to do, and when you get a few minutes of down-time, just looking around your park and watching your guests is enough to keep me entertained! I don't give out 10's that often, only about 6 of them out of the 160+ games I've rated. but RCT definitely has earned this one! Full Review »

This game is so hypnotising. Before I know it several hours have passed. There is so much to do you can not finish what you are doing in just one day. Full Review »
