An interesting take on what could be a Shadowrun MMORPG, but with the lack of endgame content and PVP the game loses much of its appeal.

Those who like Shadowrun or turn-based RPGs should still give Boston Lockdown a look, but anybody else need not apply.

If you haven't played a game in the series since the SNES however, Boston Lockdown is a decent starting point, and a perfect way to re-acclimate yourself to the genre with friends. If you prefer to fly solo, just go with Shadowrun Returns instead.

I'm sure Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown will eventually get itself together and grow with new features and content. Hopefully, it can overcome its server problems before they drive away its player community. Personally, I want to stay, but this town is making it really hard to.

Boston Lockdown has a serviceable story, but its lack of branching dialogue options and its heavy emphasis on combat render it a less satisfying experience compared to its recent Shadowrun peers.

A co-op version of XCOM in the Shadowrun universe sounds a great idea, but this lacks the depth to make the best of the concept.

At only $32.99, I’d say Boston Lockdown is worth the money if the lag is fixed but leaves much to be desired for any die-hard fans of the tabletop game.

Nuff said - it's Shadowrun and it feels good. Nice turn based game with a lot of charakter options. I really like the co-op mode and the feeling you get when you are on a run.
I'm very curious what we will see ingame on new stuff now that the game is released.
Not too complicated good for beginners and well balanced for people who are not that familiar with the Shadowrun pen & paper ruleset.

It totally is Shadowrun, it is fun to group with friends, setting, characters and graphics are awesome and what is really important for me when it comes to a great gaming experience:
    No gamebreaking bugs for me!
Had some difficulties with the control of the camera, but, well if that's the only thing...
    Thumbs up!

After a short tutorial the game and the missions become more difficult so that i had to restart some missions again and again to find the right way to solve the missions. For every completed mission you get points you can use to specialize your character. If you become a mage or a pistoleer or.... - it's your choice. Nice game with many options to play it the way you prefer most. Thumbs up! Expand

If you are a Shadowrun Fan it's a must have. As may have said the limited budget can be felt in it though not in a bad way just don't expect a multimillion dollar game here. It has a good principle, so far the community is very good, and most of the maps are challenging. I agree with the one critic though. Without no end game or pvp. Long term duration maybe problematic for the game though. Expand

Less overall character development choices than in Returns/Dragonfall. Voice over work is dreadful. Did I mention the lag? Camera during attacks likes to give you a face full of a random wall. Hired help can get killed during mission but can be hired next mission. Uninspired cover system. Can't even tell if a character has cover or not unless I move them away from one spot, then mouse over the vacated spot to see the shield. Turbo-clicking to skip horri-bad dialogue causes you to move. Also, lag.

No this isn't a beta, either. Good job, guys.
