  2. Negative: 2 out of 26
  1. Silent Hunter 5 is the most accurate simulation of World War II submarine conflicts in the Atlantic. With more testing and less bugs this game could have been the best in the series.
  2. Fight through the performance issues to find that the heart of sub simulation's best franchise still beats strong. [May 2010, p.64]
  3. Transparently not finished. [June 2010, p.80]

Cons: Rusty interface, crappy save-game concept, free-roaming more disturbing/annoying than helpfull. Permanent internet connection. Very unpolished release and current state. Pros: Nice graphics, campaign concept, gameplay ( if you can close an eye here and there). Definitly has the potential. Good price (falling down quite fast). Expand

This game was a huge disappointment. There is an inherent mouse lag that makes the game almost enjoyable despite it's reasonable graphics. The user interface is clunky, unintuitive and downright buggy in parts. It has a steep learning curve, slow to load and frustrating. Feels half finished - don't waste your time or money. Expand
