Spellbreak deserves a place among the other Battle Royale greats. It breaks away from the others in the genre and does so with amazing polish, thoughtful design, and is most importantly just so much fun to play.
Spellbreak is a good battle-royale with great combat. It's graphics and world-design won't "wow" anyone, but the ability to dish out devastating magical destruction in chaotic duals is unlike anything else currently on the market.
Shows really great potential, fast, exciting and incredible combat (mechanics and design), stable servers, really unique experience in the Battle royale genre, friendly environment (warm and familiar community), great for playing alone (Solo) or with friends (duo or squads) , highly recommendable, should have more advertisement for avoiding being the shadow of other games in the industry (This is not a mage fortnite, please understand that)

Spellbreak is a refreshing burst of magical fresh air for the battle royale genre thanks to its captivating combat and flashy style, but its map has room to improve.
Spellbound is a fun battle royale game that substitutes guns for elemental powers and magic. You'll want to think strategically to pair the best gauntlets with the best runes. Take on other enemies in a squad of three to prove you are the best battlemages out there.
Spellbreak tries to reinvigorate the worn-out battle royale genre by ditching guns and fortifications in favor of an excellent magic combat system (combining spells works great!) supported by remarkable character mobility. The result is a frenetic, very satisfying game. And it’s free, so it’s easier to turn a blind eye to the fact that the map is large but empty, and there isn’t even a simple chat system to make communication within the team easier. [12/2020, p.37]
Wow what a amazing game i was in the beta and I have been in love with this game since i started to playing it. It being a new game i look forward to the future of this game knowing that they are going to keep adding stuff
Spellbreak started as a spellcasting free to play battle royale. My first impression with it was quite positive. Movement smooth as butter, nice cartoony animations, charming graphics. You can choose your spellcaster from one of the six elemental classes and once you drop into the map, you get to find your secondary spell, as well as your potions, runes etc. One would expect a sophisticated system of synergies. Unfortunately, I have found them quite simplistic, much simpler than Magicka, and ultimately not very interesting.
The main problem with Spellbreak is that this spellcasting gameplay doesn’t really match to the battle royale genre. In an FPS, you would find cover, spot your enemy and try to aim well. Your surroundings, environment, sounds are all integral parts of the core gameplay loop. In Spellbreak, however, most combats come down to enemies finding each other and engaging in face-to-face combat until one of them dies, unless more players join the combat which only increases the number of casualties. There is no tension you would find in most battle royale games and the satisfaction you get from killing another player or winning the game is minimal.
And that is why I enjoyed the Dominion mode (which was introduced later) more. It is your typical King of the Hill mode in a much smaller map in comparison to battle royale. The problem with it, though it is even less popular than Spellbreak’s battle royale mode and you will wait several minutes for a single round even during prime-time hours.
All things considered; I still recommend giving Spellbreak a try. It is a polished charming free-to-play game. Unfortunately, it gets a bit boring after a while and the servers are not very populated. It will, however, still give you a few hours of entertainment.

Can't alternate your glove to either side.
Lag feels off too when you know you should have dodged something but still get hit.
Matchmaking is wonky too. You either are in a lobby with nothing but bots or people that can just lay you out with near perfect hits.
SpellBreak has the potential and foundation to be one of the BR greats, but in its current situation it just is not. currently the main issue many are seeing is that game itself has a high learning curve as well as skill ceiling, this is not anything new but to top this off many new players are seeing lobbies with pre alpha and alpha tester who have already had the tim to learn the game and put in the work needed to obtain the skill needed to be decent. new players are roped in with the first few games having a high bot capacity thinking they are amazing at this new game before a person with over 100 hours comes to stomp them into the ground. this is easily fixable and has several options the most prevalent of which are new player lobbies as seen is Rainbow 6 siege or with Skill based match making but this game contains neither.
