Exploration andSplice is an experimental and artistic puzzler. Immerse yourself in its microbial world and start splicing! Every level ("strand") consists of a number of cells that you will need to rearrange into a target structure in several moves ("splices"). Exploration and experimentation are key in determining how the curious little cells react to each other. Predict the sequence of splices you'll have to make in order to successfully arrange each strand. Re-sequence, mutate, and splice your way through this unique puzzle experience, and you'll exercise your ability to visualize sequential series of shapes over time. Solve your way to the final strands and you'll be left with a heady sense of mental accomplishment! Expand

Splice is a puzzle game where you manipulate genes to get to the desired shape. With 7 "levels" of 7 puzzles each, you need to first understand the logic behind the molecules and the way to move them, then play with special ones, and finally go against the limited amount of "splices" you can perform. It's a nice game, supported by a very nice music, but it would probably be best suited for touch screens.

From the random clicking and solving the first strains by mistake, up to the most complex efforts of deliberate scheming through the last sequences, Splice can make someone feel stupid and genius, at the same timeā€¦ [August 2012]

Small casual game with potential to become the logical game of the year. Its only disadvantage is in its extreme shortness. [Issue#220]

A puzzler that remains short of an epiphany. [Sept 2012, p.85]

Concept wise, Splice is an interesting title to look at. It's both accessible and painfully difficult. The satisfaction you will feel if you overcome a difficult puzzle, is worth mentioning though. Such a shame it is that Splice fails to become more than a one-trick-pony. If you've seen one of the puzzles, you've basically seen them all.

Splice is a very beautiful and and relaxing puzzler that can be really challenging at times. But when the mechanics really start to shine the game ends, so the puzzles could hace easily been more and more challenging. Also, the price is a tad too high, and we're missing the essential iOS and Android ports, which would have been a perfect match.

The game does a really good job of explaining what to do without even saying anything (I learned the game entirely without looking at the help screen it offers) and the puzzles have that unique quality where they seem impossible until you have a sudden and gratifying flash of insight.

I don't even LIKE puzzle games, and I loved this. Definite buy.

You have limited moves, or splices, and small options change what you can do on each level. One will split and create a mirror of whatever is attached to it. The difficulty of the game increases, and is very immersive with the music. It's challenging, and very well done. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes puzzle games, and ethereal graphics. Expand

The game is quite a masterpiece, it's simplistic yet challanging. Has one of the best soundtracks I've ever encountered and is easy to get in to.The difficulty is okay in the first sequences, not too hard but has some brainbreakers. It starts getting tricky after the regular sequences and sucks you in even further, Conclusion: A must buy for people who like playing puzzle games! Expand

I haven't seen anything like this. Once I started playing this game, I was hooked up with it immediately. Some of the puzzles are difficult enough to challenge your brains. I would recommend this game to any puzzle game lovers. Unfortunately the game is rather short. I finished the game in about 20 hrs including Angelic awards (which are awarded when you solve the puzzles by the best possible solution). This is very short compared with many other puzzle games around. I wish that they will expand the game by DLCs. Expand
