  1. Clearly, Stalin vs. Martians is a game to skip, even at the under $20 price point that it's starting with.
  2. For 30 minutes of so, you'll be having a strange amount of fun. [Aug 2009, p.76]
  3. The issue lies not in the occasional bugs or the concept, but rather in the excruciatingly dull gameplay. I guess some people found the official trailer (with dancing Stalin and cartoony invaders) amusing, but if you can giggle at the same joke for six hours straight, then, by all means, visit a specialist ASAP. Peculiar characters, snappy dialogue, sharp twists, and artful tactics – you won't find any of this here.
  4. Game excels in bizarre ideas and crazy humor. Everything else is total crap – unusable controls, prehistoric graphics and overall shortness to name few.
  5. The bottom line is that if this game is parody, then it's a great concept executed in a somewhat middling way, and if it's intended to be fun on its own merits then it's just a bad game. A terrible one actually.
  6. It's a shame what lies behind the giggles is so weak. [July 2009, p.76]
  7. Stupid name, stupid game. There are some games which will be remembered because of their quality. And then there are others which we would like to forget, but can't - because of their stupidity. This game is one of the latter, causing sore eyes and ears.
  8. A piece of crap. Even for hard-boiled Stalin fans this game is a huge waste of time. After this you really learn to appreciate a decent piece of gaming and your sanity. This probably is the worst RTS-game ever published, and you actually have to pay for this.
  9. Trust me when I say that Stalin vs. Martians is an utter waste of your time and money - I played it for free and I still feel ripped off!
  10. The worst game we've ever reviewed, and that's being generous.

Do not buy this game. See, if it had been made with solid controls, a plot that was intriguing, vastly improved visuals, stable gameplay, and a host of other elements, Stalin vs. Martians could have been one of those guilty pleasures that would've turned the game into a cult classic. As it stands now, there's practically no redeeming value or reason to play this game.

Charming idea met with terrible execution, deep fried in repetitive, unresponsive gameplay, more bugs than an ant farm and served with constant, nonsensical lag.
  13. Do not play, look at, or even think about this mangled wreck of a strategy game.
  14. This is piece of junk is worse than worst - that game has so many flaws that I don't really know which to name first. It might be just a budget title but do yourself a favour and keep your hands off this crappy game.
  15. Not only a contender for the worst game of the year, but also the worst game of all time.
  16. Everything about this game is poor - control, AI, graphics, missions - just about any game aspect you can think of, Stalin vs. Martians butchers it. This one is best left to fans of Stalin or of the planet Mars ... just kidding.

the idea is kinda hilarious, and so are the graphics. the music is fun too. And that's about it. there are no tactics involved whatsoever, there is no storyline either. If it were an browsergame for 10 year old kids, okay. But this is not worth the 20 dollar, even 1 dollar is too much. Full Review »

Simply outstanding. A masterpiece of strategic gaming. It blends the silly funniness of Serious Sam with the challenging game play of Red Alert 2, combined with graphics that makes Crysis look bad. All these bad reviews are probably becuase the game is hard, well I agree. The game is seriously challenging. It will test your mind its limit, while still being fun as hell. Its hard to put in words what an amazing game this is. Simply genius. Buy this game now. Full Review »
  3. I greatly enjoyed this game. It's fun strategy game with a neat, humorous concept. Challenging enough to keep you focused, but simple enough to pick up quickly. Full Review »
