Pelit (Finland)Jan 4, 2016Star Wars Battlefront looks and sounds great, and with Battlefield-class gameplay could have ruled the multiplayer galaxy. Unfortunately, at best OK-level, Battlefront-class gameplay is much too shallow to last long. And this is THE one license, which really needs a single player campaign. [Dec 2015]
Nov 18, 2015Aside from awkward performances and a poor original score, Battlefront is a master class in aesthetic authenticity. Beyond a few essential modes built for casual competition, however, Battlefront is unfocused, relying on excess game types to compensate for an absent single-player campaign.

AmazingOk , so everybody is hating for lack of content and a very repetitive game play. Lets look the pros and cons of the game
Easy to learn, hard to master gameplay.
All the maps are filled with stuff Also they are very detailed and true to the original movies.
The feeling when you get while playing this game is almost as if you were in the game-movie-Star Wars
The 3rd person is how its meant to be played AND ITS AWESOME.
True to the previous Battlefront games.
The one liner voice overs are terrible.
No its not repetitive. No its not a generic FPS. Its not meant to be played as an FPS. Its just an extra feature. The game is easy to learn, but its not by any mean "soulless" and "casual". For the usual metacritic scum who are here just to destroy this game ratings, i have no comment. For the rest Star Wars- Sci Fi fans I say only this : Buy it. It worth's it.… Expand

I'm really pissed off at this game's reception. We have Benjamin Burnley, a **** tard punk rocker who says this game sucks followed by his laughable statement, "all online games suck" (there goes his credibility), and along with all the other people who didn't give this game the time of day, here comes the criticism band wagon.
It really is a shame EA marketed this game the way they did. This is not their game, it's DICE's, yet somehow there's name right below the games title on the front cover.… Expand

The game does not have a story or campaign fund. The multiplayer is fun, but has a huge problem, lack content; the game has few maps, and very few playable characters, they will surely have more in the future, but will be part of expensive season pass. Visually the game is beautiful and its soundtrack is good. Overall, Star Wars Battlefront could be amazing, but the game came incomplete, and to get the rest of the game, you have to pay $ 50 in season pass. 5.5 / 10… Expand

PROS: i will start by saying that this game is extremely beautiful. You feel like you are in the movie. Sounds and graphics are the **** I will only take a point for the sometimes ****ty acted voices.
It’s fun, really fun. Maybe just because it’s Star Wars? Maybe.
This game is really well optimized considering the quality of textures and amount of actions at the same time. Really good job DICE!
Loading times are reasonable. I thought this was going to be a problem but it wasn’t.
Game works like a charm and is glitch-free.
CONS: Cons come into place when you start being demanding on a AAA dev.
The game is a little too casual to my standards. Maybe it is meant to be played by everyone. If that was the case, they could have implemented a competitive mode to add recoil, stand still to aim better, stamina cost, grenade quantity limits, etc., to make the game more difficult and less chaotic.
Yes, chaotic. The main problem i find is that you die randomly from grenades thrown everywhere or even terrible spawn points. These need a fix ASAP. I died countless times because i spawned infront of enemies.
Some turrets need to be nerfed down a little, these are way too OP and can get you killed with just one shot. Maybe they could be slow to move or have less rate of fire.
Maybe it’s because i didn’t spend too many hours playing but some maps are quite confusing. Endor for example is awesome but i feel like sometimes i spawn in random places and as soon as i realize where to go, the control point is lost. A mini map could be included and spawn points must be fixed.
Dogfights are satisfying but i feel that there are too many enemy fighters and ground infantry that get you locked at the same. Controls are just awful. Seriously, who steers with right stick?
This game can be fixed and i hope they do it. It’s so beautiful that it would be a pity not to do it.
If you are a huge SW fan, buy it. If not that much and you are an FPS lover then doesn’t buy it. It’s too casual and it doesn’t offer a really big challenge to be honest.

This released game manages to have less content than the alpha of battlefront 3 that EA canned a few years back, and only a quarter the content that the original battlefront. Maps are repetitive and unbalanced, as well as too small for decent aerial combat due to the limitations of the frostbite engine. $50 for a season pass that doesn't contain all the dlc is just absurd. The graphics are the best part of this festering heap of garbage, and they're only adequate, not what you would expect out of supposed "next gen".
All in all, this is a cheaply made product that attempts to sucker you in through brand recognition alone.… Expand
