War ravages the land as hardened Tech-Com fighters defend John Connor and others against the mechanized onslaught of the CRS force. This epic cinematic conflict, recreated from the phenomenal Terminator films, places first-person shooter fans at the very center of the uprising. Throughout high-powered multiplayer and single-player missions, combatants fight in apocalyptic landscapes - a decimated downtown Los Angeles, a battered ocean harbor, devastated highways - struggling for survival. Only the strongest will avert catastrophe and save human existence. [Atari] Expand

  1. A sim of Arnie’s election campaign would be more entertaining.
  2. Oh yeah, Terminator 3: War of the Machines also has vehicles! Too bad they suck. [Apr 2004, p.84]

With an inaccessible multiplayer and a deeply flawed single-player game, there's just not much to like in Terminator 3: War of the Machines. It's a game that feels incomplete and practically abandoned by its publisher.
  4. Playing alone with bots is unbearable - the AI players run into walls and can't aim for squat. [Apr 2004, p.74]
  5. As a team-based shooter with vehicles, the game strives to recapture the magic of "Battlefield 1942" in a sci-fi setting but fails miserably.
  6. If just one copy of Terminator 3 gets bought anywhere in the world, then I have failed as both a game reviewer and a member of the human race...Hollow lifeless dreck.

I love vehicle team based shooters, and i love Terminator movies, so it seemed like a good combination. Unfortunately, the game is not that I love vehicle team based shooters, and i love Terminator movies, so it seemed like a good combination. Unfortunately, the game is not that great. Graphics is bad, weopons and vehicles are not realistic at all, special effects are bad, everything looks the same. Oh well, back to playing Renegade:( Expand

Horrible. It's no Battlefield 1942. It's no Skynet from years ago either.
