In short, the dialogue was witty, amusing, and full of fun references. The graphics were beautiful and had a fitting art style that added to the game. And the story was interesting and made me want to play more.

TIAOVH2 is hands down the best single-player action-RPG out there, with engaging gameplay full of discrete doses of witty humour. It shines for catering for the casual player while offering exhaustively deep gameplay elements for the hardcore player at the same time. A few optimization hiccups deprive the game of an almost perfect grade, yet I cannot wait to see the third installment of the series.

Part two of the Van Helsing game is a great sequel in every aspect. There are more options for you to choose from and the expansion of the skill tree is another plus. All of this comes with a relatively low price.

It solves many of the problems of the original game, and even though it's not perfect, it's a good choice if you're looking for a game of this genre.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II takes the original formula and build a sequel fun and rich in contents, even if technically imperfect and a bit poor of new core gameplay mechanics.

Balance issues and multiplayer bugs remain, but there's enough variety found in its tower defense scenarios and three classes to warrant donning the legendary monster hunter's hat either again or for the very first time.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II is a very weak sequel with lots of technical issues and poor choices in terms of gameplay mechanics. New adventures of Van Helsing is still funny and can show off its excellent, steampunk atmosphere, but all in all it's not a good game. The developers failed to fix mistakes from the original and added some new ones.

Great game and builds well on the previous. I hated the film so am not a van helsing fan boy! Its clever enough to enjoy and they don't labour the story too much like other dumb ass games where you have to be bored to tears to get through the cut scenes! I play co-op story with a mate and its fun and holds the attention. Bargain priced as well!!! Expand

A vast improvement in every way over the original. After 5 hours the solid game play, responsiveness, visuals and fluid combat make this game a worthy ARPG. The price is a bargain as well, I would gladly pay double for what I have gotten so far in this gem. Expand

This game is an amazing arpg with an abundance of depth and beauty. Fans of the genre will not be disappointed, and for $15 it's a safe bet. I didn't play the first one, but am loving it so far. Veteran of Titan quest, Diablo 1-3, Torchlight, PoE and backer of Grim dawn giving VH2 2 thumbs up. The lack of publicity for this game is mind boggling! Expand

So, one year after the release of the awesome Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 1 second part ia out. Neocore has managed to improve on many aspects on the game, without changing too much. Honestly, I like ARpg games although I like to play them and not grind them! I like the good story and charachets that feel alive. The game is well done, although it feels more like expansion then a second part. Story is better this time around, its more logical with better character evolution. Gameplay is much better, three classes(actually four, as the hunter class has two completely different trees) push you to level up all of them ae they are so distinct - warrior specializes in melee combat with either in and out skirmish attacks or tanking the mobs, Hunter rolls with guns and burst damage, Thaumaturge either controls the battlefield and mobs with various spells, or destroys them with wallw of fire, ice and wild energy. This class has lots of drawing, holding and fast clicking skills. The last class is the Arcane Mechanic - he uses various gadgets and can summon awesome mechanical spiders to fight for them - this changes the gameplay completely.

Environments are different, and some of them are so beautiful and atmospheric with nice weather effects.

Enemies range from forest creatures, to lots of mechanical and steampunk mutants and to even few undeads. Game could use more undeads actually but they probably saving it for next part. I loved the minigames - one is tower defense(totally skippable if you prefer that), and second is a resistance management game where you decide who to send on which mission. Your chimera pet also gives you choice - do you take it with you as a helper or send it on the hunts for some special items?

Loot - there is plenty of it! Swords, axes, pistols and staves, and some more. Skills are flashy and impactful, although some of them feel not logical(I know its an ARpg) and not balanced.

So few things for me detract from 9 or 10 - the game coukd be longer, choices could have more impact, Ui could be cleaner, more enemy types, more rounded story without such obvious sequal bait and better villain.

So there you have it, bargain for the price - 8 out of 10 for me.

P.s. Dont forget to check the ingame journal, its awesome

I really enjoyed the first game, but this sequel is somewhat of a mess. It is more or less the same as the first game (literally) but with a lot of gimmicks thrown into it that clutter the whole experience (tower defense and army management, pet management, all very tedious).

Speaking of clutter: the masses of enemies you encounter are insane! Sometimes you'll be dealing with a whole screen of enemies all clipped into each other and you'll have to kill them by whaling into the ball of bad guys for 5 minutes.

The charm of the first game is also lacking. While the first game had its own humor, this one just throws in lame movie references like Terminator.

My recommendation: Get the first Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and all its DLCs and you'll have a better game than this.

Then immersed in the story is the strongest point of the game that continues where it stopped before. It has expanded skill system and option to start at level 30 lets you develop the game in a more dynamic way, sometimes improving the balance of combat, other times not changing anything in the routine hit-kill-loot.
But the life bar falls frighteningly fast. 2 or 3 hits and you are lying dead, even if you try to drink the potion will not have time to see the red bar back up.
The main point to justify a middle score (6) is that the game is still a beta test, launched before the time ends. Let the players pay to test and find errors. It is cheaper, is not it? Then release patches correcting and then sell DLCs correcting and rewarding bidder. I see the future of this game (and their creators and their distributors) repeating the past of others. And I do not like what I see.

Terrible, terrible trash game. Cant even compete with casualablo 3, which is also a totally piece of trash. Totally bugged engine, bugged quests. If you click somewhere you cant move - you will TELEPORT back to checkpoint. If you click this place in game beginning - you will teleport forwards, skip all help introduction and will not be able to progress at all. The only way to fix this - delete character and start all over. Or uninstall this game. Graphics looks terrible, overall level design is terrible, enemies have poor design and animations, game is simply BORING. There is no incentive to listen this boring dialogs, watch this worthless cutscenes, watch this poor animations created by some students. They probably aware of that so they tried to attract kids with this ghost-mercenary with enormous boobs. This single player game has even worse game experience than multilayer desync fest called path of exile. But if in PoE you can deal with it by learning how to play around desync, here the only thing you have to do is wait for patches. It reminds me Sacred 2 with its ultra crappy engine. This van garbage game doesn't worth a penny. I have no idea about target audience (clearly even developers never played their crappy creation, judging how buggy and boring this game is) and how this trash is rated so high. This is so far the worst ARPG game I've ever played (if this struggle can be called playing). Expand
