  • Summary: Undertake a fantastic journey following the same path as the Fellowship in the book. Play as either Frodo, Aragorn, or Gandalf the Grey. As you take the fabled One Ring closer to its fate, you will explore the most dangerous wilds of Middle-earth from the Shire to the very edge of Mordor. [Universal Interactive] Expand

  1. Stick with it through those slow, opening Hobbiton chapters and you’ll be immortalised in the terrible poetry of Elvensong. No doubt.
  2. The game suffers from some repetitive missions with a lot of "fetch this and find that," plus many of the camera angles are finicky.
  3. A neat title to have if you really want a LOTR title that brings a little more to the game than just what you saw at your local theater, but missing parts, changes to the story, and some technical and gameplay issues cannot be overlooked while playing it.

They seem to have missed a creative mind behind this project, who would design a more enjoyable gameplay, keep the story more coherent and make the game three times as long as it turned of to be.

A really good game, they captured the feel of the movies really well. I loved that you could play as Aragorn, Gandalf and Frodo, it was a really good idea. The locations do well in this, that's why my score is this high. If only they had made the sequal... Expand
  2. I Really Liked it, despite de critisicm, and Loved the Shire it was wonderfully done, most of all Moria and the fight with the Balrog we're the best.

I like it, especially playing Arigorn, anyone who disagrees doesn't like thinking about how to get past obstacles.

Games like this are why the LOTR license was so carefully guarded for years; sad to see it was all for naught. It's been a long time since I've been unfortunate enough to play something this sad. Expand
