  • Summary: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is your last chance to rescue America's sexiest city from an escalating terrorist siege that will force you into heart-pounding action from beginning to end. Sin City is back and bigger than before. Explore all new Vegas hot spots as the environment changes from dusk to bright daylight to dawn, creating a visual experience that is as challenging as it is breathtaking. The multiplayer mode in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas has been upgraded to include 11 new, smaller maps that force more intense face-offs, 2 new adversarial modes, more rewards, and easier access to matches using the improved and intuitive matchmaking system. Create your own identity that stays the same in both single player and multiplayer modes and progresses as you do. Reap the benefits of your single player rewards in multiplayer and vice versa. Turn single player mode into co-op mode at any time, just by jumping into the game. Now your friend can jump into your single player game and help you without any change to the story. Single player maps and storyline were created with co-op in mind, which means every map has multiple entry points and the story is the same. AI is more challenging than ever. Now, the terrorists are equipped with thermal vision, night vision, and shields – not to mention a multitude of varying reactions – all of which are guaranteed to give you a new playing experience every time you go into battle. As you progress within the game, you'll only be able to outsmart your enemies by taking advantage of intel opportunities, such as thermal scanning, and tactical strategies, such as leapfrogging. Take down the terrorists more effectively using 11 new weapons. New camouflage, clothing and gear allow you to take customization to the next level. [Ubisoft] Expand

Sporting slightly more impressive graphics than either the 360 or PS3 versions (mostly due to the superior definition of higher-end LCD displays combined with flashy video cards), the PC version of Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 could be the best version of the game.
  2. A refinement and general improvement on Vegas, as it's better paced, more consistent and bigger. [June 2008, p.70]
  3. Quotation forthcoming. [June 2008]
  4. Fun with friends, but folds like a nervous poker player in single play. Genuine chances need to be taken for the threequel to succeed. [May 2008, p.102]

An excellent shooter, alot better and improving gameplay over the last versions. But sometimes you end up dying, way to fast you start to go a little towards your enemies and then you get shot once and then you are dead, i would have rated 8, but alot of people rated it 0 because they dont know how to play tactical-shooter games, so it gets a 10. 2. Surely it's more of an updated Vegas 1 than real sequel. Yes, there's new story, few new ideas, bugfixes... In general it is better than its predecessor. The same situation happend with Left 4 Dead, the second game is better than first, but still - it feels just like a big update, not a new game. What to think about it? If you're a fan of Vegas, you will probably buy it anyway, just to enjoy new missions and new storyline. If you're a classical R6 fan, wishing the series would come back to it's hardcore tactical roots... It's not happening folks. For the newcomers - Rainbow Six: Vegas is a new take on R6 series. It's more approachable, less tactical. In general, it's an action game with a bit of teamwork and strategy. You control special ops team-leader and you squad consists of other two members. It's and FPS game with cover system and very basic giving orders mechanics. It's quick, enjoyable and very replayable game. After you finish campaign (not more than 6h of gameplay) you can fight in multiplayer, co-op or my favorite - terrorist hunt mode. There's plenty of weapons, armor and accessories to unlock if you want too. Overall - good game, iv played 30h and Im looking forward to play it more;) Expand
  3. A good shooter, but multiplayer doesnt work, I cant get too close to any enemies without being instantly headshotted and dying instantly. There were some frustrating moments, such as the refinery. Your AI teammates are gone, and its basically shoot someone and hope nobody notices and rushes you to headshot you. The last area/level was frustrating because of the helicopter assaulting you. Expand

Graphics are exactly the same as the original (if not worse). Multiplayer is completely broken, due to the extremely lousy server browser, which is more than uselss. The first game was great, but had the exact same multiplayer flaw: the difficulty of finding proper games. The "Sort by ping" feature doesn't exist and only of a fraction of the servers actually get a ping return. Expand
