Trine 2 is a lesson of how a great game should be. Action, platforming, puzzles, an impressive visual design, a great soundtrack, amazing level design and one of the best cooperative modes, both local and online, we have seen in a very long time.

Trine 2 is a fantastic game, just like its predecessor, and one which we feel we can easily and flatly recommend to gamers of all tastes and ability levels - no matter who you are, you can't help but love Trine 2.

A fantastic world, good gamepaly particularly in multiplayer and fitting sounds – Trine 2 has it all. The Collector's Edition with artbook and download code for the original is a half-price game to boot. If you hate skill games or thinking, skip it. Otherwise, there's no excuse to pass this one – one of the hidden gems 2011.

Trine 2 is one of those precious games that you can't help but fall in love with after just a few minutes with it. With some truly amazing level design and art styles, coupled with a simple gameplay mechanic, Trine 2 is a must try for any side-scrolling fans, or really just anyone who wants to have some fun with a rather unique adventure game.

On the whole, the creators of Trine took the safe route in crafting Trine 2. They strayed little from their original concept, resulting in a game that is equally as enjoyable as the first.

Once beaten, there is little cause for repeat playthroughs, but the initial experience is so captivating that this hardly matters. Too many people missed out on the first game, and I hope that they don't make the same mistake twice. Trine 2 is easily one of the year's most enchanting puzzle-platformers.

Trine 2 throws players into a dazzling fantasy world and gives them three fun tools with which to save it. It's delightfully open-ended, from how you solve problems to whether or not you go it alone. Fans of puzzle games will not be disappointed.

Simply put, Trine 2 is an excellent game. All of the best elements from the first game, from the puzzles to the use of persona switching, come through with minimal changes while the addition of online multiplayer brings in a much-desired feature.

A gorgeous action platformer that offers some of the most beautiful graphics we've ever seen. And it has some great gameplay (single and co-op) too.

It's a game with few real weaknesses, is accessible to players of any calibre, and provides hours of entertainment for those who like to go solo or play with friends. Considering its price, it's almost a steal for the amount of enjoyment that can be had from it.

Trine 2 is a perfect sequel: better, bigger and funnier. Frogwares gives us a new Trine adventure with an enhanced gameplay and a more balanced artistic direction. If only longevity would have been longer...

Trine 2 is a stellar sequel that is worth every penny, but it's a fairly short ride and the replayability is strictly up to you and your love for collection, or breaking the physics engine and flying across the stage on a levitating box while doing your best Magneto impression. Which is pretty cool.

Amazing graphics, perfect controls, improved physics puzzles and finally online co-op multiplayer. It is even better then the first Trine which was excellent. I miss inventory from original a little. This little cutie and good developer support is really worth more then release price. Full Review »

The game is breathtaking. The visuals are amazing, the original game was pretty, but Frozenbyte took it to another level in the sequel. Not to mention Ari Pulkkinen worked some magic on the soundtrack, the lighthearted high fantasy inspired tunes do a great job setting the mood, and just being great to listen to. The voice work is quirky and well done, and the co-op is an extremely welcome feature that allows you and your buddies to either chew threw the game, or screw off. An absolutely amazing experience, an improvement in every way over Trine, which was a pretty damn good game to begin with. Full Review »

Gorgeous. Drop-dead gorgeous in 3D. Not just the graphics but the overall art design and aesthetic is sharper, more colorful, organic, and fluid this time around. Amazing job there.

The core gameplay is still intact, of course, which can only be a good thing. Added online co-op, which is clutch, and the ability to save the game mid-level, which is crucial in my book.

Really, the game does nothing wrong.

Only niggling issue (for now) is that if you play in Eyefinity/Surround, the Thief's arrow doesn't quite line up correctly with the indicated arrow.
