  1. This is a rehash, and while fine, it does not stand out. There are several miscues along the way, all of which results in a turnover, speaking in basketball terms.

Not many eight year-olds are going to be disappointed at the lack of a solid franchise mode or the graphical details of Paul Pierce as a child. Backyard Basketball is a dose of sugarcoated simplicity but overall it is a decent sports title for young children.

It's not anything like any NBA sim that is out there, it isn't perfect, the graphics, while not great, are not bad, I have seen worse on the PS2 but this game is a heck of alot of fun to play but the commentary is so freakin' annoying and it's the only thing I found truly annoying about this game.
