  1. A complex action game featuring solid graphical elements and intense game play.
  2. What Commandos 2 does, and does exceptionally well, is push itself far enough away from dry tactical planning and into the world of quick-fire gameplay and addictive puzzling. [Playstation Max]
  3. Since the PS2 version loses the crispness of the original's graphics and some of the game's other fine touches in translation, it can't be recommended over the PC version.
  4. The interface is clumsy, and the long load times can offset the fun factor. Even so, hardcore strategy fans should have fun with this.
  5. If you have enough patience to explore the maps, can deal with the awkward controls, and don't mind reloading games frequently when you can't spot hidden dangers, then Eidos' latest release is one of the best strategic games around for PS2.
  6. The graphics and sound are the details that got left out of this one.
  7. I can't help feeling like this game was designed by sadists, for masochists. It's that frustrating. [Nov 2002, p.183]

I remember buying this game brand new and regretting it after 7 minutes of play time. The graphics are a joke, even by PS2 standards. The game concept is okay, but executed awfully. If you have this game, don't brush the dust off like I did and try it again; you're wasting your time. Expand
