  1. A perfect example of turning something underrated into a great game. Its also embarrasses "Pokemon Colosseum" and its fuddy-duddy turn based approach, flaunting a more hands on approach.
  2. A decent fighting game with enough twists in the gameplay to set it apart from the pack.
  3. 70
It has a charm all its own -- a kind of clumsy quirkiness wrought with effort and clouded in branding.
  4. It may not inspire players to sing praises of its innovation or unparalleled gameplay, but it is nonetheless an entertaining foray into the world of monster collection.
  5. Production values are average, but digi-devotees should be satisfied. [Nov 2004, p.86]
  6. Overall the game has more polish and a few new features, none that I would consider to be more than what you would find in an expansion pack.
  7. The only aspect of the game helping it avoid becoming a complete disaster are the arenas. [Jan 2005, p.106]
  8. There’s nothing extraordinary about the game but it will give fans a place to beat each other in friendly way.
  9. It is very depressing to see a game unashamedly take ideas from existing franchises. Worst still, Black Ship Games have not in anyway tried to improve on the game they so hopelessly ripped off.

This game is the same as the first except it has different enviornments and characters from Digimon season 4.
