  1. 55
It just doesn't have a lot of lasting appeal.
  2. Its frustrating single-player mode, dated gameplay mechanics, and lack of interactivity make it difficult to recommend for a purchase.
  3. Game Informer
Button timing and mashing is fine, but it would be great if Konami could expand snowboarding (and even figure skating) into a more combo-laden affair a la Tony Hawk. [Mar 2002, p.79]
  4. 80
A solid, fun mix of mini-games directly descended from Track & Field’s royal lineage. If you think vigorous button-mashing is the lowest form of gameplay, however, stay far, far away.
  5. Neither of these games bring home the gold in accurately simulating the Olympics, but ESPN International Winter Sports does a less-worse job of doing so [than "Salt Lake 2002."]
  6. Electronic Gaming Monthly
Like being the hot-dog vendor at the Olympic park. You get to watch all the events, but don’t really have all that much fun being there. [Mar 2002, p.139]
  7. Getting golds across the board certainly ain't easy, but decimating your mates/siblings/granny (shame on you!) is what'll keep you coming back to Ronald long after the snow has thawed.
  8. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
This game is an absolute hoot, and triumphs in almost every way over its summer counterpart. [Mar 2002, p.105]
  9. PSM Magazine
Another title that virtually defines the word "mediocre." [Mar 2002, p.30]
  10. There's a significant amount of enjoyment to be had here, if you're of the mind to find it, but the more annoying events (those with poor control) really bring the rest of the title down for me.
  11. I've been at late night college parties in which better-organized sports events [than curling] are improvised out of rocks, tree branches and snow (don't ask)!
  12. Yet another Olympic-style contest failing to deliver gold when it comes to the most important aspect of any title: gameplay.
  13. The only thing I could say is that I wanted to go off and play "Track n Field" to get my Olympic fill.
