EyeToy: Kinetic Image
  • Summary: EyeToy: Kinetic offers a wide variety of fitness activities that far exceeds the traditional 'home workout video'. The EyeToy camera, with the addition of a newly developed Wide Angled Lens that attaches to the front of the camera, allows for increased levels of interactivity projecting the exerciser's image onto the television screen, enabling them to physically interact with their environments. With four areas of discipline to choose from, EyeToy: Kinetic offers a wide variety of exercises for players to choose from. Aero Motion and Combat zones help to increase the player's overall fitness level, inspired by moves and stances from activities such as Tai Kwon Do, Modern Dance, Kick Boxing, Aerobics and Karate. The Mind and Body zone focuses on breathing, concentration and flexibility, taking inspirations from Yoga and Tai Chi, leaving players feeling relaxed, yet with their body fully conditioned. The Toning zone helps the player to tone specific muscle groups utilizing slow and refined movements. [SCEE] Expand

  1. Each activity comes with a tutorial from a virtual instructor, and as you kick out at the falling balloons on the TV screen it' s impossible not to smile. And how often do you see that down the gym?
  2. A wonderful, innovative advancement for Sony's peripheral. The game has wonderful graphics, sound and options. The only problem with it is that setting up can be irritating and the camera is still imprecise.
  3. If you are going to use it, it's an inexpensive investment that's worthwhile.

The treadmill was getting way too boring especially since my stupid earbuds kept falling out. it was really hard to get myself motivated to exercise daily. but this game is a lifesaver, videogames are more fun to turn on, and the easiest level can get anybody to start sweating. I thought this would be too easy when i first bought it, but it's challenging and fun. a last dorky comment: it's A LOT more fun to pretend you're on ninja training, military training or Stargate commanding training. LOL. that thought makes me keep at it longer and harder. later, maybe ill incorporate the treadmill once again. Expand

Kinetic is a great game. When I added a diet along with the twelve week program, I lost 10 pounds the first week. You can see the difference in your waist, muscles, and your energy. This game has truly made the difference, I am afraid of missing a workout for fear of anna criticisims (LOL). Anyways, If you are looking for a way to lose weight, tone, AND be sucked into a videogame at the same time this game is PERFECT. Expand
