I am very impressed at the level of depth this game provides. If there’s anything to complain about, it’s the fact that you can't 'manage-only' – you must race your horse.
  2. A fine game – but it’s lacking the depth and realism that many of the more complex management type sims have. Those looking for a quick racing thrill without a lot of fuss will find a lot to like.
  3. This is the very definition of 'niche' product, but one with enough gameplay depth (particularly betting on the outcome of races and creation of your own breed of champion horse) and visual splendor to make it worth a trip to the rental store.
  4. Despite the wealth of options and considerable depth, it’s pretty much the same over and over again giving you little urge to come back.

Awesome horse racing game even though it lacks certain points of view such as spills and disqualifications. anyway it's a great game.

The graphics are awesome - but the gameplay is missing some very critical parts. For instance, you cannot sell race horses if they become successful, you can only retire them or breed them. Also, when buying a horse, there is no pop-up asking you if you are sure. I accidentally bought 2 horses I didn't want right in the beginning because I was just getting used to the controls. As well, the way you spurt at the end hurts your thumb from the repetitive pushing and you have to do it so much that it gets boring and tiresome. I've been waiting for 4 months for this game to come out, and I'm thinking of returning it if I don't like it within the next week. Expand
