LoobM.Mar 30, 20026This is a good platformer, but it is too short and too easy. I finished the game in one weekend, and I didn't even break a sweat. Absolutely No replay value. It gave it a 6 because I am rating it as a platformer. RENT don't buy.

JessicaJun 30, 20029I thought the overall game was good but the ending sucked.

May 7, 201210Back in 2001, this was the best game created and one of the most creative games I've played. It still holds a special place in my heart and its how I got into the Jak and Daxter series. Its also one of my first PS2 games I bought. An amazing game indeed!!
-
Jul 11, 201210This Game, Is a Master Piece...I loved It the ending was good, gameplay was brilliant and the Boss battle was superb! It would be in the top 10 Greatest Games of all time!
-
Jul 14, 201210So many colors! i love how many colors they put in this game, and how beautiful it is watching it turn from day to noon to evening to night, killin' enemies, platforming and collecting stuff. than collect stuff and sell it to get more stuff, killing enemies to unlock stuff that unlocks more stuff to get more stuff. beautiful...just...beautiful.
-
AnonymousMCJun 28, 20029This game is amazing- the levels are giant, the acting is actually good, and it is challenging. This game reminds me of the Spyro the Dragon series- you help someone, and in return you get want you are searching for (Like helping them so they will give you a dragon egg).

DANTESPARDAFeb 26, 20029A little bit difficult sometimes but....Focus on the game, give it a half hour, and you'll end up playin' this game all nite until 6 am, like i did.
A master´piece, and in contrast to the PS2'S CRASH BANDICOOT LOADING TIMES, WORTHY OF THE XV CENTURY INQUISITION'S TORTURE TECHNIQUES, JAK AND DAXTER DON'T HAVE A SINGLE LOADING TIME IN THE WHOLE GAME. SUPERB. -
-
AlexW.Jan 10, 20039Stunning visual, amazing gameplay, Daxters comic appeal... The single Greatest PS2 platformer ever! But if it would only last longer....

DavidF.Feb 15, 20028This game is brilliant. Everything about it is very polished and well presented. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is fluid and the sound effects and voice acting is spot on. My only downer is that the game is a bit too easy and not completly original. Ohh..and the ending sucks. Other than that it's pretty much flawless.

VirusManNov 5, 200210Great game with super graphics and amazing characters. You will fall in love with Daxter. Oh I want to know when we get a sequel?

RyanS.Jul 23, 20029This game has great graphics and gameplay. It's just fun to play when you have nothing much to do.

ClaireM.Feb 20, 20039I finished the game with 101 power cells so I didn't get the secret ending, which I would have got with 100 or less. This disappointed me when I played all the game and only had 99% at the end. What a bummer! I suppose I'll just have 2 play it again. p.s My boyfriend think's Daxter is amazingly hilarious! lol

SolidSnakeFeb 26, 20029Awesome! Such a massive world to explore, and some of the cinemas are funny. Gameplay rules over all platformers.

-
DogLoverJun 15, 20039I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! It is so amazing. The animation is gorgeuos, and the game is so unbeiliveibly imaginative. It's a little too long and challenging, but it is a beautiful game. It is so fun. If you don't have it, get it.

AladdinS.Jan 8, 20029The only real negative I can find with this game is a little slow down here and there. It's so awesome that there is no loading ever during gameplay. It's such a massive world. It's closely resembles Mario 64, although not quite as much of a classic.

TarikT.Sep 30, 200210How could anybody not love this game it is sooo cool. It makes me laugh a lot. So much better than the crash games it is not even funny.
-
-
UterSep 18, 20035It's an average platformer with good graphics. Jak is a pretty lame character. Enemies respawn fast so killing them isn't rewarding.

KellyM.Jun 27, 200510Best game ever! 100% all the way! It is challenging yet easy and fun to play. Great grapics, characters, and story line. I hope Sony PS2 (not another system) will continue to make Jak games forever! BEST GAME!!!!

LauraJul 3, 200610This game is awsome! I hope ps2 makes more Jak games!

BrettanD.Feb 7, 20078A solid Action/Adventure/Platformer. I just played Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for the first time recently. I would say the last game of this kind that I played that was as good as this had to have been Star Fox Adventures for the GCN five years prior to now.

RyanM.Feb 10, 20039This game is so addictive and just plain fun. I couldn't put it down until it was beat. Of course that took only about a day. I wish it was a lot longer, but I love the graphics and the stunning worlds. One downfall is Jak's jumping ability... It sucks.

KenH.Jan 4, 200310Absolutely amazing. Graphics are astounding. You don't appreciate its massive gameplay area until you get well into it. Makes other games seem crude and shallow. Fantastic entertainment! Naughty Dog deserves an Oscar.

Feb 10, 20117this game is one of the few true platformers. it has many frusturating challenges but the plot is good and the gameplay keeps you playing. if this game had guns like 2 and 3. it would be an 8. but since it doesn't i give it a respectable 7.
-
Mar 24, 20118If you like games like Sly Cooper, and Ratchet & Clank, than you'll love this. Me, personally I loved those games so this one was pretty good too. The graphics are really good for 2001, and the voice acting is good. The best part of this one is the maps. These great, nice and green areas are really nice. Overall this game is a great one if you have a PS3 or PS2.
-
Apr 29, 201110A boastful platformer that gamers of all ages should experience. Pros: Fantastic graphics; excellent control, camera, and audio; visually stellar level design; funny characters. Cons: Too short; repetitive enemies; bad soundtrack; the gameplay rarely varies.
-
Apr 20, 201110Amazing game. I have a PS3 and this is still my favourite game of all time.
-
May 22, 201110Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy did what Banjo-Kazooie did on the N64: introduced everyone to whole new world and a grand, whacky adventure. Pros: Beautiful graphics; excellent controls, camera, and sound; fantastic level design; no loading screens; funny characters; generic, but plain old fun 3-D platforming. Cons: Too short, too easy; average soundtrack; you can't play as Daxter.
-
Jun 2, 201110This is the best video game ever made. The visuals are stunning, the story is entertaining, the gameplay is excellent, the characters are lovable and funny, the music/soundtrack is beautiful. Everything about this game is perfect. I love this game!!
-
Aug 8, 20118A personal disappointment. Sure, you all think this is the best game in the series, but the final boss is too easy, that minigame where you have to get rid of all the Dark Eco in the plants in the Precursor Basin and those showdown bits where you have to kill all the Lurkers are annoying. A good game, yes, but not the best in the series.
-
Sep 6, 201110"it sucks." who ever wrote that review probably spends hours at a time playing COD. lol obviously he started the game couldn't get past it because he can only play terrible shooters, and sucks at every other game. funny, creative, fun and all around good.

Nov 1, 201110One of the best games I've ever played. I got the game years ago when it came out, and I've beaten it around ten times now. It truly is one of the best platformers of all time.
-
Nov 1, 201110A well made game to say the least. Fun and I love the miniquest system. Very innovative and original. I applaud Naughty Dog for this game. A fun game to get a series going.

Nov 16, 20117This is a really enjoyable game and the first in a trilogy of epic games. However, over time, it's reply value sort of dwindles. You will want to play this game over and over at first after you get it, but after a while, there's really not much do after you beat the game.
However, it's still enjoyable and fun to play. -
Nov 22, 20119This game is graphically beautiful, and the environments reach perfection. Daxter is a very funny sidekick, and the game gave me some good laughs. Daxter will try to do CPR or something on you when you die, and he yells like you're leaving forever. Jak is interesting, with his athletic techniques. Unfortunately, I couldn't give this game a 10 because it's fairly short and leaves you wanting more.

Apr 6, 201210This is one of my favourite platformer games. The game is completely open world with no loading times and has a great story. The difficulty scales up just perfectly, and the bosses are well balanced. Over all it's a unique experience I'd recommend to try out.

Mar 15, 201310A fantastic experience for people who like platforming, fantastic and addictive gameplay and entertaining. Amazing story and impressive characters. true masterpiece (like its sequels). Naughty Dog did a brilliant job out of this, thus also creating the legendary Jak & Daxter series which sadly Naughty Dog only did 2 sequels.
-
Feb 21, 20139One of my favorite 3D platformers as a kid, and one of my favorite ps2 games, this is a classic platformer you shouldnt miss out on. Great gameplay, funny dialog and jokes, good story, awesome graphics, good music, and an overall experience that keeps you playing start to finish, and keeps you sucked in the whoel time. I really enjoy this game, and i reccommend it to any ps2 owner out there.
-
Feb 25, 201310My personal favorite of the Jak series to be honest. I loved the route they took with this game and it was a lot of fun to playthrough as a little kid. I still play it every once in a while, it's a lot of fun!
-
Mar 6, 201310This game is amazing, one of the best platformers of all time. The characters are really fun, especially Daxter. The gameplay is great, the story is decent (Daxter gets transformed into a combination of an otter and a weasel and so Jak and Daxter go to find a cure), the environments are really well done and the adventure is probably one the best you'll ever have.
-
90One of the most thrilling games to hit PS2 since its launch.
-
From the way the game renders an entire world that you can explore from one end to the next without a single loading screen, to animation that literally trounces anything ever seen in any videogame, to game design that keeps things interesting despite being what some would call “just a fetch quest,” this is a perfect example of the next generation in videogames.
-
90Simply amazing.
