  1. A stonking package that will keep fans and fresh faces busy until Madden 09. [Oct 2007, p.98]
  2. Much better than on PS3. [Oct 2007, p.79]
  3. It's Madden, which is no bad thing, but it's a case of same stuff, different year.

This game is awesome. Blows away any next-gen version still. The new fantasy challenge mode is light enough for me since I don't want to do 20 years of franchise. Expand

This would have been a very good game, if it were called Madden '06. Unfortunately, with a lack of competition for football gamers money, EA appears to have taken complacency to a new low. While the game remains entertaining, it shows almost no innovation for the second year in a row. The biggest new feature -- "the weapons system" -- is useless to anyone who already knows NFL players and understands which players are dominant and which aren't. Beyond that, it's the same recycled animations, player celebrations, crowd effects, and commentary we've had for four years running. The "new features" this year are almost irrelevant and meaningless to fans of the series. All in all, this feels like an effortless, uninspired new edition of the game by EA, which seems a little too comfortable with its exclusive NFL licence. Expand
