This game is awesome. Blows away any next-gen version still. The new fantasy challenge mode is light enough for me since I don't want to do 20 years of franchise.

This game has awesome defensive control, and the kicking has even improved, and the game is so realistic, it look as though your their eating your billsberries! Isn't that sick!

If you are from Europe and yet love American Football, this game is great for you because it includes some special teams and stadiums from Europe :D

It bogs down a little in between plays and i have yet to notice anything all that different from last year. overall, it's more of the same, but that's why we keep coming back.

This game is great period if you have a ps3 or ps2 buy this instead of madden 12. This game have nice graphics for a ps2 game and the commentary of this game is so much better then now days. This is worth a buy

It's the same game and is the only genuine football simulator out there so that's why I keep getting it. It doesn't let me down at all though.........

Unfortunately, with a lack of competition for football gamers money, EA appears to have taken complacency to a new low. While the game remains entertaining, it shows almost no innovation for the second year in a row. The biggest new feature -- "the weapons system" -- is useless to anyone who already knows NFL players and understands which players are dominant and which aren't. Beyond that, it's the same recycled animations, player celebrations, crowd effects, and commentary we've had for four years running. The "new features" this year are almost irrelevant and meaningless to fans of the series. All in all, this feels like an effortless, uninspired new edition of the game by EA, which seems a little too comfortable with its exclusive NFL licence. Expand

The weapon system, which is obviously carried over from the newer consoles, doesn't deliver the kind of experience that you'd hope it would, and the adjustments to the older gameplay doesn't do enough to radically improve the title. While Madden 08 is still an enjoyable title, it isn't nearly as impressive as last year's game.
  2. Not much has changed in the gameplay, outside of enhancements to the Hit Stick and the distribution of "weapons".
  3. The older console versions of Madden 08 offer a few control upgrades and a couple of bizarre new modes, but otherwise, this might as well be last year's game.
