  1. It takes the quality gameplay from the second game and vastly improves it, while taking the better story pacing from the first game in mind when providing the lengthy tale that really involves the gamer.

You might be surprised that this game isn't an Xbox game when you first see it on the TV. It looks great and while it does have some telltale signs of being a PS2 game, it's still absolutely gorgeous.
  3. Except for the slow first few hours of the game and an occasionally annoying camera, MGS 3 is damn near a perfect game.
  4. Combines great stealth action with a superb storyline and excellent visuals.
  5. There has never been, and will not be for a long time a more convincing and immersive game released.
  6. We'd like to say that Metal Gear Solid 3 is on a par with the original PSone game and in many ways it's much better, but it also feels like it has been left behind in some fundamental areas by the likes of "Splinter Cell."
  7. Not since the movie "Rambo 3" have we seen such cheesy dialogue and a storyline so over the top that it can be comical. That's fitting because the plot also borrows heavily from "Rambo 3," or at least the worst parts of it.

If I rated Halo 2, it would be an 8. (I like Halo 2, but MGS 3 RULES, whoever doesn't think so sucks.)

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is a near perfect game, with barely any problems. The story is very well fleshed out and paced very well. TheMetal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is a near perfect game, with barely any problems. The story is very well fleshed out and paced very well. The gameplay is fun when you get the hang of it, and every time I got seen, I could only blame myself. The gameplay has been vastly improved from Sons Of Liberty, and you get to play as Snake for the whole game, whew! The story takes place in 1964, during the Cold War. and the protagonist is Naked Snake, who would later become Big Boss. After years of training with the female soldier, The Boss, Snake is sent in to his first mission, to save the American scientist Sokolov, who is being forced to make missiles for the KGB, a Russian army branch. Snake saves Sokolov, (while having a run-in with Revolver Ocelot) and is extracting him, when Snakes mentor, and best friend, The Boss, defects to the Soviet Union, along with the heroes of World War 2, The Cobras. The Cobras take Sokolov back to the factory, and The Boss breaks Snakes arm and throws him off a bridge. I won't spoil what happens after that, but I will say that it's very entertaining and intense throughout. That ending, though, wow, that ending, made me want to cry. Anyway, buy this game on the MGS HD collection on the PS3, you NEED to play through it. Expand

Lots of times, many people get angry over games with long cutscenes and being a so called almost interactive movie, I also feel that way. But,Lots of times, many people get angry over games with long cutscenes and being a so called almost interactive movie, I also feel that way. But, Metal gear solid 3 nails the mix between cutscenes and gameplay perfectly, and the story is touching, you care about it, you even want more cutscenes, and so many suprises from Hideo Kojima's crazy mind, I literally thought the game ended 3 times! Easily one of the best games of all time Expand

This is possibly the worst series of games I have ever played. They're all so pointless. Gameplay was awful. Controls were just horrid.
