  • Summary: The series that took racing from tracks to the open urban streets is back, and the stakes are even higher. Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition delivers insanely fast, open city racing in Atlanta, San Diego, and Detroit, complete with 8-player online competition and the most comprehensive vehicle customization ever seen in a video game. Drive the hottest licensed real life SUVs, import tuners, muscle cars, choppers and luxury rides, and trick them out with the latest rims, trims, and upgrades just like in the pages of DUB. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition has more speed, more choices, and more chrome than any game has ever packed under the hood. [Rockstar Games] Expand

A perfect blend of arcade style action, mixing the best of Midnight Club 2, Midtown Madness, Need for Speed Underground and Burnout 3. With a combination like that, you really can't go wrong.
  2. Yes, even our beloved "Burnout 3: Takedown" must yield to this monster of a racer. [June 2005, p.72]
  3. The incredible speed and freeform routes are the major high points. The tuning options are excellent, too. [July 05]

Technical faults such as difficultly seeing where you're going and suspect frame-rates are serious issues when it comes to games of such speed requiring cat like reflexes.

  1. I don't always enjoy racing games that much. They're mostly the same thing over and over again. Sometimes there's a challenge, sometimes there isn't. But this game is fun as hell. Even the story is fun. Racing games shoudl be like this. Expand

Very arcade. Everything was designed to keep this game fast-paced and fun. The challenge gets so hard at times it's ridiculous. What turned me off about this game is that it lacks everything GT4 has: realistic handling and tuning; MC3 is SO FAKE!! Also, the random-yet-scripted traffic will annoy you after you're trying to beat a race for the 20th time. Someone needs to make a successful blend of the best elements of MC3 and GT: Realistic handling & tuning mixed with free-roaming street racing. NO ONE'S EVER DONE THAT WELL!! I was also dissapointed in the selection of muscle cars (they're my fave!) Expand
