  1. The gameplay mechanics are sound, and there's enough variety in the missions that you won't become bored with either the arcade or campaign mode too quickly.

One of the best anime spin-offs on record. [Nov 2002, p.52]

This is the best game to appear in the canon yet, both for single-player and split-screen action.

What really sets this Gundam apart from the rest is that it actually controls pretty well. [Oct 2002, p.149]
  5. Not the most in-depth or daunting example of the genre, however the accessibility of the game and enjoyment with a friend should endeavour its charms to more than a select few.
  6. It’s closer to a ‘65’ for those of us that don’t care about or follow the TV series’ characters or TV plots, but it lacks the polish and proper balance (the Zeon side is heavily favored) to merit receiving the ‘70’ we were thinking of bestowing upon it.
  7. Lacking in every way this game is good only for small kids, desperate mech-fans, or fans of the series.
  8. 60
It's a meaty release that doesn't bog the player down with complicating control configurations, drawn out cut scenes, and plot development that gamers will likely be familiar with already.
  9. A decent action game. There are a few flaws and a lack of depth, but it’s definitely playable and fun.

There are so many missions and a whole crap load of mobile suits. It is challenging yet fun. The only hard levels are when you need to battle Amuro in his Gundam or Char in his Zaku, Gelgoog, or Z'Gok. The controls are top notch and easy to use. My favorite mobile suit would probably be..... the Gundam. Its cool how you can play as either the Federation or Zeon. I also like the arcade mode, which is a shortened version of the the One Year War. This is a must buy for anyone who likes gundam or great shooter games. Full Review »
