Slide kicks, slide tackles, flaming hot-foot bombs to the face, and all other manner of nastiness is a great way to relieve stress and an even better way to win. Rules are for sissies.
  2. Offers a solid soccer game but misses on the extreme feel achieved from successes like "NFL Blitz" and "NHL Hitz."
  3. A unique title with controls too complex for an arcade title and action too ridiculous for a simulation.
  4. The end result is mired in too many gameplay inconsistencies for me to give the game my full blessing as a reviewer.

If RedCard Soccer 20-03 leaned a little more to the "extreme" side, we probably would have enjoyed it more. [June 2002, p.40]

While "Blitz" and "Hitz" both fit perfectly into the vision of Midway's crazy, over-the-top, pain-first, scoring-second identity, Red Card doesn't. [June 2002, p.99]

Soccer is a great game. But as "real life" sports on video, this game has the extra pizzazz that is needed.

A great game. A good alternative to Winning 11, and a must have if you were dissapointed by Soccer Slam on Gamecube. Good luck finding it in A great game.
