Rise of the Kasai is an extremely disappointing sequel to The Mark of Kri. All of the innovation seems to be gone, and the decision to release this after God of War was a huge mistake. If you are an action-adventure fan you should play God of War and wait for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess instead.

Its ok, just the gameplay is disapointing, mark of kri is better. The design and levels look good, the game never got released in europe and australia, which made this game less popular than mark of kri

A sequel that's innovated and improved in every conceivable way, groomed like its predecessor for a discerning palette. [Apr 2005, p.48]

Working with a partner can be fun, but all too often it's painfully obvious that this is a computer-controlled character and often an awkward one at that. There are also some boss battles, but even these repeat themselves for no good reason.
  3. I wish more of the sprawling levels encouraged that kind of teamwork instead of sending you on dull hunts for switches. [May 2005, p.133]
