  1. Aside from the new tracks, SingStar: Pop Hits 2 is the same old song and dance.
  2. For those that enjoy karaoke, fans of the SingStar franchise, and who love the majority of the pop tunes identified above, SingStar Pop Vol. 2 is a solid purchase especially if you haven’t picked up a PS3 yet.
  3. Grab your microphones and sing until your heart is content, but for this review the fat lady has stepped to the mic and my time is finished!
  4. Karaoke fans probably won't mind, but without more songs count and variety, this one can't hold the tune.
  5. If you have all the SingStar PS2 games at home and you’re a fan of the series then this game will surely find it’s way into your game collection - but don’t expect anything other than 30 new songs to add to your collection.
  6. A weak track list sinks this SingStar.
  7. At any rate, your best bet is to choose your game by track list. Pop Vol 2’s 30-track lineup is listed below. It’s strong, though we’d suggest it commits the series’ typical sin of trying to appeal to fans of too many genres.
  8. The SingStar franchise needs to rethink song lists. There are some new titles upcoming that might offer more variety than this one does.
  9. So get your group of friends together, throw a party, or just get wasted as singing is something everyone loves to do, it just takes a little motivation to get some of your friends to sing along, but you'll get them there one way or another.
  10. If you like the music and are already a SingStar fan, then chances are you're going to get a kick out of this expansion pack. If you don't like the music then maybe another one of the dozen or so SingStar games is better suited for you!

As a fan of the series, I'm just not behind this one. There aren't that many great tracks, I feel like I've been here before, and there are other singing games on the market that are outperforming this title.
  12. If you have a PlayStation 3, it may be better to pick up SingStar for PS3 since that game includes an online community where you can upload videos and download new songs. SingStar Pop Vol. 2 doesn’t include any of those features but as a multiplayer game it’s recommended as long as you like the songs.
  13. All in all the list of songs tells the tale. If you like what you see, Singstar Pop Vol 2. is worth your money. If not, consider the other Singstar options.
  14. While they're certainly not bad games by any means, familiarity breeds contempt, and I'm just starting to get irked by the lack of freshness.
  15. Your interest in the tracks will ultimately determine if you need to pick this one up, as there are no universal must-haves included.
