  1. Something different and new, something that actually makes a spy game a true spy game.
  2. Imitation is the finest form of flattery, and Sammy Studios has gracefully given a nod to the previous masters and has moved on in its own direction.
  3. The coolest gadget is the 3DA camera which allows you to take a picture of someone and then emulate them perfectly.
  4. You will find comfort in using the mute button.
  5. Its crazy camera makes running and gunning difficult, and being stealthy is too much work and takes too much time. Had the game stuck with its unique, brainy moments, it would have been a much better experience.

Despite its flaws, Spy Fiction does deliver enough "wow moments" and inventive set pieces to make up for the too-frequent bouts of tedium or spotty AI. [Oct 2004, p.132]

Spy Fiction is meant to be fun rather than realistic, but there's a line between playful and head-scratchingly ridiculous. Oh well, at least the flashback aspect of the story works. [Sept 2004, p.64]
