  • Summary: You are thrust into the heat of battle in the galaxy's most unforgettable conflict. Lead the Republic army in the greatest battles of the epic Clone Wars as Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Your directive: stop the Separatists from reassembling an ancient Sith weapon of mass annihilation! Take over where Episode II ends. Play out the greatest battles of the epic Clone Wars. Undertake missions ranging from intense close combat engagements to enormous large-scale battles. Pilot over five unique craft (Republic gunship, speeder bike, fighter tank, assault walker and even a maru) against over 30 different combat units. Play four entirely different multiplayer modes: team-based strategy, deathmatch, king-of-the-hill, and co-op endurance. Engage in sixteen single-player missions on six expansive worlds from the Star Wars universe. [LucasArts] Expand

  1. The action is always high tense, and extremely enjoyable.
  2. Both the solo and multiplayer options deliver the explosive goods, but for maximum entertainment value try betting with friends on the strategy-based Conquest mode. Loser has to sponge-bathe Jabba!
  3. A highly satisfying game. Despite being trapped in the same old LucasArts formula, the change of pace fighting in vehicles turns what could have been a ho-hum game into a thrilling homage to the film's end sequence.
  4. The selection of vehicles, structured missions objectives, and rewarding bonus system will make this a favorite for anyone who plays it.
  5. The lightsaber challenges are very much on the weaker side of the force, and should have either been worked on longer or left out entirely. [Feb 2003, p.32]
  6. Not even a framey and slightly-buggy engine (collision detection issues galore!) can prevent this title from being a must-own recommendation for Star Wars buffs.
  7. As you can probably tell, the main problem with this game is that it’s scrappy and disjointed. The areas that show flair and imagination are cut short by generic and shockingly unoriginal elements that make you cringe and turn away in embarrassment.
