At best, an average racer with a watered-down trick system.
-
50The visuals are fine, the control is solid, and there are loads of gameplay options and some neat play mechanics being used, but the experience is almost completely devoid of what we like to think is a very important part of any game -- fun.
-
50The game was never too solid to begin with--aside from its amusing track design and decent customization elements, there really isn't anything much there in regard to actual compelling gameplay.
-
50Stunt GP should have been called Snail GP because the cars move so slow. I don't care if they're supposed to be radio-controlled vehicles or not -- this is a video game, and developers are supposed to take advantage of this virtual world and create fun and entertaining games.
-
50Despite the decent options, the game is just an average racer with nothing to pull it out of the crowd of already ho-hum PS2 titles.
-
50The learning curve requires a lot of work. Who wants to put that in when games like "Rumble Racing" are around and do it better?
-
50Weak graphics and shallow gameplay arent much incentive to continue playing.
-
The gameplay is just so generic that even the track designs couldn't save this title. [Jan 2002, p.83]
