The Dog Island is a charming adventure so full of puppy cuteness that it would bring a smile to almost anyone's face. But at the $50 price point, you might find that titles like Nintendogs and Animal Crossing prove to be a better investment to keep the kids engaged this winter.
  2. There's nothing here for most gamers, but buy it for younglings with a penchant for canines and they'll be happy for hours. [July 2008, p.78]

This game is really a hidden gem for any casual gamer. I bought it on clearance and thought it was going to be a joke of a game. It ended up being one of the most whimsically delightful RPGs I have ever played. The game is well put-together. The characters are lovable, the environments are cheerful and colorful, and the storyline is surprisingly engaging. While hardcore gamers may scoff, this game is wonderful for anyone willing to enjoy a good story with some cute puppies. Expand
