A vibrant, eye-popping superhero disc that has more style, wit and compelling gameplay in its first 10 minutes than most games have in their entirety.
  2. Even with its difficulty problems, the only really bad thing I can say about this title is that its way too short, and there's way too little to do.
  3. Ultimate Spider-Man is nothing more than a bargain-bin effort that would be over and forgotten in an hour or two except for the pointless required side missions artificially extending playtime.

  1. Great game. In my opinion this game is superior to Spider-Man 2 in terms of extra content. There are plenty of comic covers, costumes, landmark tokens, secrets tokens, races. and more to complete. The amount of content is large enough to keep you playing for a long time. Expand

Lost some of the fun of web-swinging. Venom is not as fun to play (hulk is better). Graphics are great. Not much depth to the combat.

It seems the Spidey franchise has taken a step backwards on it's latest console outing. Upon playing any seasoned gamer will soon realise the only thing on offer here is a fairly empheral showcase for some pretty cell-shaded graphics. Since, the only thing Treyarch have actually done with this new offering is produce a poorly tailored version of Spiderman 2. Everything from timed races to the wearingly tedious scavenger hunt for tokens has been re-incorporated into an altogether inferior amalgam. Sadly, the novelty of playing as both Spiderman and his villanous counterpart is a short-lived. And frankly, it's rather inexcusable that Treyarch think this half-baked offering is acceptable fodder for loyal fans of the superhero genre and respectable gamesplayers alike. Expand
