  1. A surprisingly fun little way to pass the time for less than twenty bucks. [May 2003, p.36]

The game's biggest flaw is its lack of depth. Sure, there are different WWE-themed arenas with varying objectives such as "destroy 10 opponents" or "hold the belt for 30 seconds," but gameplay doesn't get any more complex or diverse than that.
  3. It's no "Twisted Metal: Black," but you can do worse for $20. [May 2003, p.63]
  4. 58
A mediocre effort, falling short of the mark set by "Twisted Metal" and its heartier clones.
  5. When it comes to graphics and sound, Crush Hour begins to fall apart at the seams.
  6. A jabronie, but it could've been worse. [May 2003, p.83]
  7. Crush Hour is like some hick dream—demolition derby mated with pro wrestling—that actually gets old pretty damn quick.

Sure it's no Twisted Metal Black, but it is an enjoyable, innovative car combat title. The premise might be too silly for some, but I like the new modes of play, such as the Hardcore Matches, Royal Rumble, Lumberjack, etc. Nice sized roster of over 30 wrestlers/vehicles. Collapse
