  1. As the spiritual successor to "Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge," Zapper delivers more challenging action puzzle gameplay in a colorful, upbeat setting.
  2. Its short length and lack of visual polish keep Zapper well below the charm and fun of its predecessors.
  3. I liked Zapper for its utterly old-school approach to simplicity and twitch-based gameplay, even it if could have been a little better on all fronts. [Nov 2002, p.92]
  4. The control scheme and presentation makes the game very boring to play after only a short period of time, not to mention that the story mode won’t last you longer than a day.
  5. 55
As much as I wanted to love Zapper, I just couldn't allow myself to become addicted to any of the fun elements it had to offer.
  6. If you've played "Frogger 2" on the PS1, that's all you really need to know; this is pretty much the same game. [Jan 2003, p.136]
  7. It’s gameplay is simplistic while still offering challenges and rewards that will keep kids interested beyond the Story mode. [Score for Kids = 80]
