While they don't bring anything new to the table, they're all brilliant, intricately designed maps. [Issue#203, p.98]

What can anyone say? It's a COD:BO map pack that lives up to the game. I was somewhat concerned that Activision would push out a quick-buck DLC to get people to pay 85 bucks for the complete package. This DLC does not disappoint and if you love COD:BO like I do then 85 bucks is cheap for a game I'll be playing for the next few years (easily the most balanced and least frustrating shooter out today.) Some new ideas make their way to this DLC. Berlin Wall's "No Man Zone" has a clearly defined area whereby anyone caught in it will be shot onsite by tower guards (cross at your own risk). There's a new zombie map as well, but frankly I don't play zombies so I have not seen it. COD:BO is likely the last FPS of its generation (hopefully) to use the tried and true (though dated) Call of Duty recipe - Battlefield 3 looks poised to help change things up again. If you're into COD multiplayer, this DLC is a must buy. Expand

While the intentions of the first release of a DLC map pack for BO may have been good, the delivery was lackluster to say the least. Kowloon is a mess of a large map with one or two high traffic, high camp areas and a plainly obvious spawntrap; Stadium is small and relatively simple, but balanced and fun; Discoery is large and interesting, with a variety of movement and placement strategies; Berlin Wall can be hit or kiss depending on the group you play with, as the middle buildings can be camped for an entire game; and the Ascension map for zombies is as of yet unplayed, but I've heard nothing but good things. While it may not be worth the money, it can be worth it for the more completists of Call of Duty players. Collapse
