What sets this tower defense game apart from many others is it forces the player to decide between offense and defense while also managing resources to pay for those efforts. Not quite up to par with Pixel Junk Monsters, but a really engaging and fun game. Settings similar to Military Madness in look and sound (TG16) give a solid Sci-Fi feel to the game. The music is Tangerine Dream/Aria style. Points removed for occasional and worthless puzzle levels which detract from the general game. Points removed for scale being a tad too small (units could have been a little bigger). Expand

Simply a good game with GREAT gameplay that really engages the mind. Its true that the offensive element added to the game adds a lot more depth than you might think. At first its a tower defence game but suddenly you realise that defence won't win you the game so you begin building your army in earnest whilst hoping your defences hold...

This game is nothing short of an underrated gem. It beautifully combines elements of RTS games with TD games. It is simple, easy to learn, and the co-op is extremely fun and works well.

Definitely one of the best tower-defence games out there.
  2. There's something to be said for iterating on an already proven idea. That's precisely what Pelsoft has done with their take on tower defense, and as a result it plays unlike anything else on the PS3 -- or elsewhere for that matter.

Comet Crash's biggest draw is just that you can finally fight back. It's a much more significant addition than would be obvious at first glance, and the fact that both offense and defense can be juggled at once with minimal headaches speaks volumes about Pelfast's ability to strike a balance between the ebb and flow of combat and defense.
