  1. Comet Crash certainly isn't the most sophisticated looking tower defense title, but if you pass it up because of its simplistic visuals, you're truly missing out. It's chock full of clever design and great unit/tower balancing, plus it has some of the most generally engaging local multiplayer found on the PlayStation Store. Additionally, it might very well be the best RTS on the PS3.
  2. Cunning defensive strategies and the ability to build up attacking armies make this one amazing tower-defense game.
  3. If you enjoy tower defense games, it's pretty safe to assume that you'll like Comet Crash.

    Another essential download. [Issue#186, p.86]
  5. So visually the game isn't really impressive, but the gameplay certainly feels unique. It's a pretty cool blend of RTS mechanics and tower defense strategies, but nothing about it feels like a retread of something I've played before.

Minor complaints aside, Comet Crash does a fantastic job at easing the unfamiliar into tower defense territory, and is well worth your asteroid-powered space bucks if you are looking for a light (yet addictive) strategy title.
  7. At 6.29 quid steal. [Christmas 2009, p.107]

I love comet crash, one of my favorite games. It is missing online multiplayer but I rate it a 10 because it is amazing and ita graphics are great. I Would not call it a tower defence because tower defense reminds me of one of those crappy flash games on a computer. Even if You don't like tower defense you will like this. Expand

Simply a good game with GREAT gameplay that really engages the mind. Its true that the offensive element added to the game adds a lot more depth than you might think. At first its a tower defence game but suddenly you realise that defence won't win you the game so you begin building your army in earnest whilst hoping your defences hold... Expand

This game is nothing short of an underrated gem. It beautifully combines elements of RTS games with TD games. It is simple, easy to learn, and the co-op is extremely fun and works well. Collapse

What sets this tower defense game apart from many others is it forces the player to decide between offense and defense while also managing resources to pay for those efforts. Not quite up to par with Pixel Junk Monsters, but a really engaging and fun game. Settings similar to Military Madness in look and sound (TG16) give a solid Sci-Fi feel to the game. The music is Tangerine Dream/Aria style. Points removed for occasional and worthless puzzle levels which detract from the general game. Points removed for scale being a tad too small (units could have been a little bigger). Expand

The good: 4 player couch co-op!!! Good tower defense, a lot of depth in some levels.
The bad: too many stupid levels where you have to do one
thing very fast, some levels can be annoying. Game can get repetitive. Expand
